Paranormal on the high seas: Cruising with dead, undead

Take a vacation - to the other side! ...and maybe to Alaska for some horseback riding after that.

On August 5-12, 2012, psychic-medium Lisa Williams (author of Life Among the Dead and Survival of the Soul) will be leading a group of fans aboard an Oosterdam cruise ship for a voyage to connect with loved ones who have died, while also visiting Alaskan sites such as Tracy Arm, Sawyer Glacier, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Victoria.

According to a press release by organizer Cruises Cruises Cruises, Inc., Williams will "teach people how to reach out and touch loved ones who they thought were lost to them forever" through intimate interactions that include readings, book signings, photo ops and a cocktail party. After connecting with the dead, cruisers can also opt for various activities like horseback riding, dog sledding and the like.

If you dig cruising and the paranormal, but prefer to communicate with the undead, Cruises Cruises Cruises is also hosting a Vampire Cruise in June 2012 that will feature Elvira, Mistress of the Dark; Dacre Stoker, great grandnephew of Bram Stoker and co-author of Dracula The Undead; vampire scholar John Edgar Browning, whose research into real vampires takes a big bite out of the mystery surrounding the immortal creatures; CJ Ellisson, author of the sexy Vampire Vacation books; Nelsan Ellis, who portrays Lafayette Reynolds on True Blood.
