'Game of Thrones' Season Four Won't Lack Sex or High Death Count

We’ll have to wait until the spring for the fourth season on HBO’s “Game of Thrones” but just know this, it won’t be lacking in character deaths or sex. Well that’s good news!

In a recent post-Emmy interview with Access Hollywood, Kit Harington discusses how his character, Jon Snow, will look a tad rougher thanks to his trials and tribulations last season.

Remember that he was not only attacked by a large bird but also shot by that untamed redhead wildling, Ygritte? According to Kit, “My face is not OK. It’s far from OK! I have to have scars this season. Then obviously I’ve been shot in the back with arrows, so, that hurt.”

Kit also revealed that there will be plenty of battle action for Jon Snow, “He’s a bit in the wars, old Jon Snow. And it doesn’t get any easier this season. It’s kind of high-octane, action-packed.” He also said that he’d like to keep one of the scars because if done the right way, a scar could look sexy.

He also promises more deaths in Season Four which is hard to comprehend after the Red Wedding, “[There will be ]more deaths this season than any other! I can’t tell you who dies. You’d think they’d tone the deaths down, but they don’t. They’ve realized that’s a successful option, so they’re just killing more people than they’ve ever killed.”

Who will be left? Well if you read the books, you know some big characters get offed. But will there still be lots of sex? Apparently yes! Kit promised “plenty of sex” and that his relationship with Ygritte, despite her trying to kill him, may still flourish.

He gives some hints about the love story, “Me and Rose, who plays Ygritte, we’re as close to a love story as you get in the show. You have to follow that up and see what happens this season.”

In addition to these juicy tidbits, Access Hollywood also got some dirt from Cersei Lannister herself, Lena Headey, “I’m just gonna say the stakes are higher than they ever have been. It’s just getting better and better.”

Peter Dinklage may have not won the Emmy for his role as Tyrion Lannister, but he did reveal that his relationship with Sansa Stark (Sophie Turner) will continue despite still having his mistress, Shae. He called their relationship “respectful” and “...not filled with passion.” Since Turner is only 17, this is a relief. According to Dinklage, he loves working with Turner and says, “She’s incredible.”

We agree and are greatly looking forward to seeing what HBO has in store for us next season. Season Four is said to be roughly based on the second half of George R. R. Martin's third novel in his "A Song of Fire and Ice" series, "A Storm of Swords." No premiere date has been released.
