Fox's 'Sleepy Hollow' Renewed For Third Season

It looks like Fox has given an early renewal for it's supernatural drama series, Sleepy Hollow. Deadline is reporting that the show will be back for a third season despite some floundering in season two.  The Glades creator, Clifton Campbell will be serving as executive producer and will replace Mark Goffman as its new show runner.

According to Fox TV Group chairman Dana Walden, the network is striving to continue to impart some fun into their new shows, “We want to get back to something that feels a little bit more episodic in nature, it has become overly serialized. We are trying to return the fun to it a little bit.” This is evident in the network's renewal of the gritty series and fan-fav, Gotham.

Fox entertainment president David Madden lauds the Sleepy Hollow's new showrunner, “He is an excellent producer, and we can’t wait to see what this team has in store for Season Three."

So some fresh ideas are on the horizon for the modern-day adaptation of Washington Irving's short story. We'll keep you posted on any new developments and it's season three premiere date.
