The first trailer for the animated adventure-comedy
ParaNorman debuted on Yahoo Movies, and gives us a brief look at the plot of a monster-movie-loving kid who communicates with the dead, must protect his town from a curse.
ParaNorman masterminds Chris Butler and Sam Fell previously worked on Henry Selick’s
Coraline and Tim Burton’s
Corpse Bride. Although the teaser (successfully) leaves out any dialogue - and instead relies on Donovan's "Season of the Witch" - the August 2012 film will feature the vocal talents of Casey Affleck, Leslie Mann, John Goodman, Elaine Stritch, Anna Kendrick and Jeff Garlin.
Watch and dig it - and observe what we wish our childhood was like.
