'American Horror Story: Asylum' descends into madness

Ryan Murphy and FX are doing a deliciously disturbed job of teasing fans leading up to the American Horror Story premiere.

The Asylum storyline - not connected to the first season plot - takes place in a mental institution for the criminally insane in the '60s, and stars returning cast Jessica Lange and Zachary Quinto (portraying new characters) as well as Adam Levine, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Lily Rabe, James Cromwell, Chloe Sevigny and Joseph Fiennes.

The teasers (embedded after the jump, thanks to Dread Central) are providing clues as to the particular rabbit hole the show will take viewers down this season. So far we've seen a nun dumping "something" in the woods, and another nun hanging up a coat (they are way creepier than they sound). There was also the - ahem - vaginal hydrobath therapy clip and roses clip. Next up is this teaser of a nun walking up the steps while a big fan of The Exorcist spider-walks down the opposite side.

What do you think these teasers are leading up to? Any theories as to the second season scares?
