'Ghost Hunters' premiere most watched in two years

After premiering with its first episode sans Grant Wilson last night, Sept. 5, Syfy announced Ghost Hunters had its most watched season premiere since August 2010.

Says the network, "Compared to the April 2012 season premiere, Ghost Hunters scared up increases of 23 percent among Adults 25-54 (1.1 million) and 17 percent among Adults 18-49 (861,000) during its telecast on Wednesday, Sept. 6."

"During its 9-10 p.m. time period," the Syfy press release continues, the paranormal series "was the number two ranked show on cable among Adults 25-54 and number four among Adults 18-49, propelling Syfy to number three in cable entertainment networks prime among Adults 25-54 and #5 in Adults 18-49 ... the September 6 telecast also marked the series’ highest delivery in Women 25-54 (715,000) since October 2010."

Ghost Hunters is produced for Syfy by Craig Piligian's Pilgrim Studios (Dirty Jobs, The Ultimate Fighter, Top Shot). Piligian and Thomas Thayer, along with Mike Nichols and Alan David, serve as executive producers.
