New Tony Todd Horror Film Takes Us Into the 'Dead of the Nite'

Courtesy DreadCentral
Tony Todd ("Candyman," "Hatchet") has certainly made a name for himself as a recognizable horror icon and by the looks of this new trailer, compliments of DreadCentral, he's showing no signs of slowing. "Dead of the Nite" is a paranormal/horror film that's being released in stores and VOD on January 7, 2014. It also stars fellow horror stars Simon Bamford (The Butterball Cenobite from "Hellraiser"), and Suzie Lorraine ("Roxanna").

The ominous warning on the poster certainly sets the tone for the film: "Death follows those who seek it." Read the official synopsis (also compliments of DreadCentral) and check out the trailer below:

When a group of internet sensation ghost hunters are found brutally slaughtered in the infamous Jericho Manor, police detectives Jenkins (Gary Mavers) and Anderson (Joseph Millson) must piece together what happened on the fatal night by viewing the paranormal investigators' video footage. With the only witness being the secretive caretaker (Tony Todd) claiming it was the ghost of killer Jeffery Heath, will the detectives discover more than they had bargained for?

From ghostly happenings to breathtaking action thanks to stunt coordinator Claudio Pacifico ("MI:III," "Pirates of the Caribbean 4," "Gang of New York"), "Dead of the Night" will have audiences on the edge of their seats and guessing until the very end as to who, or what, is slaughtering the team and usher in the new dawn of ‘psychological slashers’.
