Joseph Gordon-Levitt already cast as Batman for 'Justice League'?

Big news over at HitFix.com where they are reporting, "Joseph Gordon-Levitt absolutely will be appearing in Warner Brothers’ Justice League as the new Batman."

That is a bold statement, right? It makes some sense, based on the hint at the ending of Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight Rises.

This news comes on the heels of a New York Post interview with Man of Steel director Zack Snyder where he said he couldn't comment on the Superman movie being integrated into a larger superhero universe because "that would be a big spoiler." That sounds like a big "yes" as well. Snyder also said he was being trusted to keep the Justice League movie "on course" and that he didn't know how that movie could move forward without acknowledging his.

Now Nolan has been pretty adamant that TDKR closed his work with Batman, but he is connected to MOS. Also HitFix.com is stating that their sources are telling them that Warner Bros. is "solidifying deals" for Gordon-Levitt (and one other actor from the Nolan franchise) to do ... something earlier than JL.

The obvious guess here is that we'd be looking at a post-credits Man of Steel scene where Supes and Bats meet up. It was a strategy that worked perfectly with the Marvel Universe's build-up to The Avengers. Plus, Warner Bros. is unlikely to greenlight another JL tie-in after MOS and before the supergroup movie opens Summer 2015. So this would be the big chance for the studio to create buzz.

So what do you think? Do you want to see JGL in the JLA?
