Ricin letter sender just acting as 'actress'

Richardson
On Friday, news broke that an actress from The Walking Dead and The Vampire Diaries had been arrested for sending Ricin-laced letters to President Barack Obama and NYC Mayor Michael Bloomberg.

It seems, however, that the term "actress" was thrown around quite liberally, as Executive Producers from both series (Glen Mazzara and Julie Plec, respectively) have absolutely no recollection of the woman appearing on their shows.

Richardson's IMDB page is just as memorable as her roles, which is not at all. No acting credits appear on her page, but there are a few meaningless factoids about her.

Mazzara and Plec both took to Twitter after the announcement to ask fans if they recognized her, as neither of them recalled her. Fans of The Walking Dead did some digging, and found an image of her as a Walker, but she was merely a non-speaking extra. Plec stated if that had been her role on one show, she probably portrayed the equivalent on her show, The Vampire Diaries.

According to reports, Richardson (also known as Shannon Guess/Shannon Rogers) had previously called the FBI and blamed her husband for sending the poisoned letters, but it was later found that she had sent them herself. If convicted for the charge of mailing threatening communications to the POTUS, the 35-year-old mother of 5 could face up to 10 years in Federal prison.
