Syfy Has Faith in New Pilot 'Dominion'

A 90-minute pilot titled Dominion, has received the green light from the Syfy Network. It is based on the 2010 Paul Bettany and Dennis Quaid film, Legion which centered around God losing faith in humanity and sending angels to Earth to bring about the apocalypse.

According to Deadline, Legion's director and co-writer, Scott Stewart, will be directing and Vaun Wilmott (Sons of Anarchy) will write the pilot.

Universal Cable Productions and Bold Films, who produced the feature film for Screen Gems, are co-producers. Stewart, along with Michael Litvak and David Lancaster, will act as executive producers, with Wilmott acting as co-executive producer.

According to Bloody Disgusting, "Dominion is described as an epic supernatural action drama set 25 years in the future after a war between an army of angels and mankind has transformed the world. It follows the perilous journey of a rebellious young soldier who discovers he’s the unlikely savior of humanity.”

A release date has yet to be announced.
