Valentine’s Day may be a long way off but we wanted to introduce you to a new vampire film that will be out just in time to see with your sweetheart. Released by The Weinstein Company on February 14, “Vampire Academy” is based on the first of six books by Richelle Mead and stars Zoey Deutch (“Beautiful Creatures”) as Rose.Here is the film’s official IMDB synopsis:
Rose Hathaway is a Dhampir, half human/vampire, guardians of the Moroi, peaceful, mortal vampires living discretely within our world. Her legacy is to protect the Moroi from bloodthirsty, immortal Vampires, the Strigoi. This is her story.
Directed by Mark Waters (“Mean Girls”), the film also stars Danila Kozlovsky, Lucy Fry, and Sarah Hyland (“Modern Family”) and looks like “Heathers” meets “Mean Girls” meets well...you decide from the trailer. You can also follow the film on Facebook and Twitter.
