New 'Walking Dead' art for season three return

AMC released today the key art for the return of The Walking Dead season three, premiering Sunday, Feb. 10 at 9 p.m. ET.

In the release, AMC sums up the upcoming episodes thus:
With his group in tatters, his sanity in question, and his own son questioning his every move, Rick (Andrew Lincoln) must somehow pull everyone together to face their greatest challenge - The Governor (David Morrissey). In order to survive, he must risk everything, including the group's very humanity.
The poster for the return features the tagline "An Eye for an Eye," and only shows one of Rick's eye, and the Guv's good one. So Morrissey's character is obviously out for vengeance after the Grimes Gang upended his Woodbury paradise and Michonne (Danai Gurira) popped his peeper.

Season three's mid-season finale aired Dec. 2, making the show the first cable series in television history to reign as the biggest show of the fall season among Adults 18-49, beating out all broadcast and cable entertainment series. The episode totaled 15.2 million viewers for the night.
