Mobile zombie game 'Into the Dead' reaches 10 million downloads

Gamers and zombie enthusiasts rejoice! The mobile game/app masters at PikPok have again struck video game gold. Their Into the Dead, a continual play game (meaning it goes on forever!), set in the zombie apocalypse has already reached over 10 million downloads (not a first for PikPok; Flick Kick Football is up to 20 million downloads) less than five months after its release.

The bleak, post-apocalyptic graphics and eerie sounds in this first-person perspective game make you feel as if you're actually trying to shoot and run your way through a mass of hungry, undead fiends.

Into the Dead offers a variety of unlockable weapons and missions, as well as an option to compete against your friends. There are also constant upgrades, and soon-to-be-released companions -- just like on your favorite Zompoc games available for your home gaming systems.

The free app is available on iOS and Android devices, but there is an option to upgrade to an ad-free version for $2. As game site Joystiq points out, if only 10 percent of players purchased the ad-free game, that's $2,000,000 for PikPok. That's pretty lively for an undead game.
