In honor of Superman’s 75th Anniversary, “Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder has teamed up with Warner Bros. Animation and DC animator extraordinaire, Bruce Timm to bring us this "historic" two-minute cartoon. The animated short was introduced at New York Comic Con this past weekend.

With the rousing and familiar scores from John Williams and Hans Zimmer playing in the background, we’re taken through the past seven and a half decades of this iconic superhero. From his first appearance to the many inceptions of Supes, fans will no doubt want to watch this over and over in order to find all of the references. Most notably; “Super Friends,” Christopher Reeve, George Reeves, an Atari game, “The Death of Superman,” the New 52, and this year's “Man of Steel."

What are your favorite Superman moments?
