'American Horror Story' News: Hints About Season Four and Stevie Nicks' Appearance

In an exclusive over at Entertainment Weekly, we were able to get a few hints about what the fourth season of “American Horror Story” may look like. The show’s co-creator, Ryan Murphy, hinted that we’ll learn much more around episode 11 of this season. He went on to disclose that the next season will not be “contemporary” and that “It’s either going to shoot in New Orleans or it’s going to shoot in Santa Fe.”

And what about a spin-off of “Coven?” Not happening. Murphy adds, “We were starting to break episode 8 or 9 and we were like, ‘Well, we can’t kill that person off because we need them for the spin-off.’ As soon as those words were said, I was like, ‘There is no spin-off.’ Because it took away from the joy of the show. The reason the show is successful is no one is safe ever.”

Murphy also provided a lovely gem on Tuesday of this week, tweeting a picture of the icon, “She’s here! Stevie Nicks on the set of Coven!”

We’re not sure what role she’ll be playing or if she’ll be playing herself but based on her black suit, she looks like a member of the current Coven. Her boots are pretty awesome too. Murphy commented on the tweet in an interview with EW:

EW: You tweeted a photo of Stevie Nicks on set filming her upcoming guest-spot. How did it go?

Murphy: You know Stevie is just fantastic. I don’t think Lily Rabe has recovered. She was great. She gets to sing. She does a little acting, which she was great in. The great thing is Stevie has some wonderful ideas based on some of her songs so we were like, “Oh we’re going to use that.” So we’re actually going to try and have Stevie come back and do another episode because she’s so good.

"Coven" airs on FX, Wednesday nights at 10 p.m. ET, but the next episode, “The Sacred Taking,” won’t air until December 4 due to the Thanksgiving holiday. The final episode of the season airs in January.
