Son of John Landis Breathes New Life into the 'An American Werewolf in London' Transformation Scene

Thank you, Bloody Disgusting!

I loved the 1981 John Landis werewolf flick "An American Werewolf in London" and had a major crush on David Naughton so imagine my sheer delight when I discovered this "Homemade Movies" version of the film's classic transformation scene. Of course, being 33 years later (what?), the special effects in this video are obviously far superior.

This gem was directed by Travis Betz who teamed up with Cineflix, and it stars Max Landis, son of John Landis. According to the YouTube info, "It was recently John Landis’s birthday, and son Max has decided to give him a very special birthday present: stepping into David Naughton’s shoes and re-enacting the transformation scene from 'An American Werewolf in London.' We probably won’t win an Oscar for Best Makeup for this homemade effort, but it’s the thought that counts, right?"
