Chicago's Admiral Theater Celebrates Sixth Year of 'Night of the Stripping Dead'

Prepare yourselves, boils and ghouls, for the "Night of Stripping Dead" is coming. Celebrating their sixth year, the Admiral Theater will once again be providing spooky (and sensual) entertainment for Chicago's adults. The event originally began as a one night event, but became so popular that it now spans three terrifyingly sexy evenings.

According to the Admiral himself, "Wicked Wednesday will include Witches, Zombies and Mummies. Terrifying Thursday will host more Zombies and offer $1000 for the best Sexy Zombie Stripper. Freakshow Friday will no doubt be the most Thrilling of all with Freaky Features and Ghoulish surprises!" The performances will span from October 29th at 9 p.m. through November 1st at 6 a.m.

If you're 18+ and in the Chicago area, be sure to snag your tickets before they return to the grave for another year.

Paranormal City: Chicago Con-Cast

I love chatting about the paranormal in front of a live crowd. It has never been my mission to convince others to believe or disbelieve in the unexplained, so much as I just enjoy geeking out about the stories, folklore and theories. So I've really been digging the "Paranormal City" panels I created and have been hosting at Wizard World cons lately. By assembling local personalities, we've been able to engage in fun conversation about what makes a town unique with its para-personality.

And the Chicago Paranormal City panel really nailed that. With the exceptional involvement of Dave Schrader, Chris Fleming, Ursula Bielski and Jonathan James, we spoke to a packed room about what makes the Windy City so spooky.

Within the past few years alone, the growth of horror conventions has been on the rise. Next year, the convention titans at Wizard World will be joining the horror-con realm with one of the biggest names in the genre, Bruce Campbell. "Wizard World Chicago Presents: Bruce Campbell's Horror Fest" will be hitting the windy city in March of 2015 and promises a weekend like you've never experienced before, with the man himself emceeing the ENTIRE weekend, in addition to signings, photo-ops and panels moderated by the horror icon himself. Remembering Harold Ramis

Harold Ramis, actor, director and writer, has passed away at 69. The Chicago native is responsible for many modern comedy classics, such as "Animal House," "Caddyshack," "Groundhog Day," and "Ghostbusters." According to the Chicago Tribune, Ramis' wife Erica revealed that his death was caused by complications from autoimmune inflammatory vasculitis; a rare disease of the blood vessels that Ramis had been suffering from since 2010.

Ramis began his career in comedy in 1969 as a member of Chicago's Second City improv troupe, along side future greats John Belushi, Bill Murray and Dan Aykroyd. While he will be forever remembered for his entire filmography, to the paranormal community he will forever live in our hearts as Dr. Egon Spengler of "Ghostbusters."

Celebrities have taken to social media to express their grief at losing such a phenomenal human being. Dan Aykroyd took to his personal Facebook page to say "Deeply saddened to hear of the passing of my brilliant, gifted, funny friend, co-writer/performer and teacher Harold Ramis. May he now get the answers he was always seeking."
