Somebody is watching you right now!  Don’t bother to turn around; you can’t see them, but they can sure see you. In this electronic age, between security cams, cell phones, the Internet and citywide surveillance - not to mention all the satellites - more people are watching you than were watching Joanie Loves Chachi. So how is this paranormal?  Well, with the way things are going, it won’t be long before we all bear the mark of the beast. That’s right, I’m talking radio-frequency identification (RFID) chips, baby!

Here is a brief history of this little demon:  

Invented in 1969 and patented in 1973, but only now becoming commercially and technologically viable, RFID tags are essentially microchips and the tinier, the better. Some are only 1/3 of a millimeter across. These chips act as transponders (transmitters/responders), always listening for a radio signal sent by transceivers or RFID readers. When a transponder receives a certain radio query it responds by transmitting its unique ID code, perhaps a 128-bit number, back to the transceiver. Although some do, most RFID tags don't have batteries. Instead, they are powered by the radio signal that wakes them up and requests an answer.

Mummies have been around for 6,000 years, but "mumming" has only been around for about 350 years. Yet instead of having anything to do with dusty bones, mumming involves colorful costumes and folk plays. It's a tradition that originated in Medieval Europe and in the Celtic countries (Ireland, Wales, Scotland). Some say it was started by our Druid friends.

But stateside, the most well-known group is the Philadelphia Mummers, who perform a parade every New Year's Day and even have a museum dedicated to them in The City of Brotherly Love, which is what brings us to our current conspiracy.

Last year I was in The City of Brotherly Love and ventured down to the naval yards to check out some odd stories I'd been hearing.  Most of you are familiar with the story of the Philadelphia Experiment, or at least have heard of the movie starring Michael Pare (who also starred in Eddie and the Cruisers).  Well, to make a long story short, the naval department outfitted the U.S.S. Eldridge with a series of EMF generators in order to make the ship invisible both optically and to radar. 

As the story goes, the ship vanished from the Philly docks, materialized in Norfolk, Va., then dematerialized again and reappeared in Philly.

The Conspiracy Nut Report

Most of you didn't even notice it. As you were wrapping up holiday shopping, photocopying your butt at the office Christmas party, or drinking egg nog with the fam while watching "The Grinch," you missed the fact that on Dec. 21 (at 11:11 EST, to be precise) it was exactly three years until the end of the world. Now, since you missed the date, the question on your mind should be, how will it happen ?
It appears open to interpretation as to whether December 2012 will bring total destruction or a transformation of our world. So below are predictions (not necessarily Mayan in nature) for 2012:

The Conspiracy Nut Report

Angels & Demons is a 2000 bestselling mystery-thriller novel written by author Dan Brown adapted into a 2009 movie starring Tom Hanks, recently released on DVD.

The plot revolves around the quest of fictional Harvard University symbologist Robert Langdon (the same protagonist from Brown's The DaVinci Code) to uncover the mysteries of the secret society the Illuminati, and to unravel a plot to annihilate Vatican City using destructive antimatter. Angels & Demons focuses on the historical conflict between science and religion, and particularly between the Illuminati and the Roman Catholic Church. Additionally, the antimatter is known as the CERN, or God, particle.
