Tune in Tonight and Wednesday to Syfy's 'Haunted Highway' and 'Killer Contact'

If you need a break from everything "Christmas," be sure to head over to Syfy tonight and tomorrow night for back-to-back nights and episodes of spooky goodness. "Haunted Highway" airs at 9 p.m. ET and "Killer Contact" at 10 p.m. and the teams are taking on some interesting cases.

On Tuesday, the "Haunted Highway" team tracks the echoes of an historic train bridge collapse. Then, on Wednesday, catch them investigating an abandoned factory that may be full of paranormal activity. For "Killer Contact," on Tuesday the team will look into one of history’s most notorious secret societies—The Hellfire Club! Then, on Wednesday, the team will just to unearth the paranormal secrets of the Mayans. What can we learn from this ancient civilization?

Syfy Doubles Up on the Paranormal with "Haunted Highway" and "Killer Contact"

Syfy is providing even more chills this winter when they offer a double dose of paranormal programming. Returning this Wednesday, November 27 at 10 p.m. ET is the Season Two premiere of "Haunted Highway." Hitch a ride with Jack Osbourne, Jael de Pardo, Dana Workman and Devin Marble and travel with them on the remote highways of America looking for paranormal activity. The show resumes the following week at 9 p.m. ET.

The following week, on December 4 at 10 p.m. ET, check out Syfy's newest unscripted series, "Killer Contact." "Killer Contact" features a "team of intrepid paranormal investigators travel around the world using ghost hunting techniques to search for answers to the world’s most notorious murder mysteries – including cases that have eluded forensic scientists, detectives and historians for centuries."

Syfy changes name of upcoming 'Notorious Hauntings'

In a Syfy press release, it was announced that the upcoming paranormal investigative docudrama Notorious Hauntings (first reported here last November) will now have a new name: Killer Contact.

Debuting Tuesday, July 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT, Syfy writes the show will "follow a team of paranormal investigators as they research the otherworldly activity at historical sites and explore the gruesome backstory of the infamous and heinous individuals who operated out of each location."

As the team digs into crimes and victims, they will supposedly "determine if they are the cause of the present-day haunting." Such notorious criminals investigated on the show include Jack the Ripper, Vlad the Impaler and the Borgias of Italy. Killer Contact is produced by Pilgrim Studios, and Craig Piligian and Mike Nichols serve as executive producers. This is the same team behind Ghost Hunters and, previously, Ghost Hunters International.

No reason for the title change was given.
