'Zombieland' show casting begins

We recently reported on the possibility of a TV series based on the 2009 zom-com Zombieland - initially meant to be a show before it became a movie - and according to Deadline.com things are quickly moving forward with the show.

Two of the four lead characters have been cast in the pilot, which will air online at Amazon. Tyler Ross (Milkshake) has been cast at "Columbus," the role originated by Jesse Eisenberg. Izabela Vidovic will be reprising Abigail Breslin’s role as "Little Rock."

Deadline reports that "The project, produced by Sony TV, is a continuation of the adventures of Tallahassee, Columbus (Ross), Wichita, and her younger sister Little Rock (Vidovic) — four humans who band together to survive the zombie apocalypse."

Some good news is that "Original Zombieland writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick wrote the pilot and executive produce with the movie’s producer, Gavin Polone."

We’ll keep you posted on any more news on the show. Are you excited about it, or worried that it might need a "double tap?"
