Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights 23, just got even more terrifying with the addition of the ever popular survival horror video game, "Resident Evil."

The roster for this years HHN23 is now officially complete, and will have guests going through some of pop culture's most ghastly and recognizable names. Some of the other haunted houses will include "An American Werewolf in London," "The Cabin in the Woods," "Evil Dead," and AMCs "The Walking Dead."

In a Universal Orlando/Hollywood Horror Nights first, the entire street experience will be devoted to "The Walking Dead," making all the "scare zones" throughout the park based around a successful television show.

To create the most authentic "Resident Evil" experience, the team at Universal joined with the game creators at Capcom. Attendees will become frenzied survivors as they are transported to Raccoon City. While inside, guests will come face-to-face with some of the games most well known, and terrifying, characters. Zombies, Lickers, Cerberuses and even supreme baddie himself, Nemesis. Guests aren't just transported into the wasteland of Raccoon City, either. They will actually be transported into the video game itself. One room is said to look like an action scene that has been paused!

With manga, CG anime, a long running live-action film franchise, and the games themselves (which have sold nearly 60 million units), the addition of 'Resident Evil' to the Hollywood Horror Nights 23 line-up should come as no surprise.

When asked about the collaboration with Universal Orlando, producer Yoshiaki Hirabayashi ("Resident Evil 6") said, “It’s such a great delight to work with Universal on a haunted house based on the Resident Evil games. The games have become synonymous with survival horror and we look forward to delivering a new way for consumers to experience the Resident Evil world we have created in the haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights."

Michael Aiello, creative director for Universal Orlando's Halloween Horror Nights, echos Hirabayashi's sentiments and states that, “Resident Evil is a perfect final addition to Halloween Horror Nights 23. We were able to create incredibly elaborate sets that plant you right in the midst of Raccoon City’s apocalyptic nightmare, along with terrifying adversaries that will send them running.”

Running weekends from September 20 thru November 2 (with additional nights added closer to Halloween), be sure to get your tickets ASAP, because this event WILL sell out!
