Demeter and Elvira Offer Three New Fragrances

Our own temptress and writer, Nowal.
The folks at Demeter Fragrance Library are the masters of unusual colognes. Recently they released Zombie for Him and Her, which we previously reviewed. Surprisingly not disgusting for being modeled after the scent of the walking dead, that cologne is rich and earthy scented, with a hint of mildew.

While those may not be for everybody, Demeter and Mistress of the Dark, Elvira, have teamed up to bring three devilishly sexy scents into your lives. If you're a little apprehensive after checking out their kooky colognes, rest assured, I've tested all three and guarantee there's something for everyone.

First up, Elvira's Black Roses. With opening notes of rose water tea, thorny stem Bulgarian rose petals, red currants and Davana Blossom, this scent starts out as a light and bright floral. Eventually, the earthy notes of Patchouli, dark amber and Haitian vetiver come through, leaving you with a dark, rosy floral scent that is true to its name and perfect for all-day wear.

Next is Elvira's Vamp, an incredibly sexy addition to any perfume collection. Poisonous belladonna, Dracula orchid and the Nicotiana plant comprise the base of this fragrance. Ivy and peppery Maile leaves are joined by Madagascar vanilla, white musk and mandarin peel to finish off this dangerously sexy scent. This one is great for those special nights out on the town.

Finally, there is Elvira's Zombie. While their previous zombie scent is more a more literal interpretation on the walking dead, this one is far more enticing than its predecessor. To get the earthy smell of the undead here, ylang ylang and red poppies are combined with tobacco leaves, black vanilla bean, methadone accord and Coca petals. Spicy and sultry, this scent is absolutely wonderful for everyday wear and special occasions.

For $25 per 1oz. spray, these fragrances are as versatile as they are bewitching. My personal favorite is, surprise surprise, Elvira's Zombie, though I highly recommend them all to every gorgeous ghoul out there!
