Demeter and Elvira Offer Three New Fragrances

Our own temptress and writer, Nowal.
The folks at Demeter Fragrance Library are the masters of unusual colognes. Recently they released Zombie for Him and Her, which we previously reviewed. Surprisingly not disgusting for being modeled after the scent of the walking dead, that cologne is rich and earthy scented, with a hint of mildew.

While those may not be for everybody, Demeter and Mistress of the Dark, Elvira, have teamed up to bring three devilishly sexy scents into your lives. If you're a little apprehensive after checking out their kooky colognes, rest assured, I've tested all three and guarantee there's something for everyone.

Demeter and Elvira Let You Smell Like The Mistress Of The Dark

Demeter Fragrances have teamed up with Elvira Mistress of the Dark, to bring you some sexy
spooky scents, just in time for Halloween!

First up is Elvira's Black Roses, which uses Thorny Stem Bulgarian Rose petals and red currants to create a deeply sexy, floral scent.

Elvira's Vamp has notes from the Dracula Orchid, Belladonna and Madagascar Vanilla to complete a dangerously enchanting fragrance.

Finally, Elvira's Zombie. With ylang ylang, red poppies and black vanilla bean, this perfume is sensual enough to rouse the dead.

These hauntingly dark scents are available now and start at $25. Get yours before they disappear into the dark.

What does a zombie girl smell like?

If all girls smell like ZeeGee, bring on the Apocalypse
A few weeks back we reported on the new Zombie for Him and Zombie for Her perfumes from Demeter Fragrance Library, and although they provided some fun descriptions of the scents, we needed to take the fragrance for a test ride.

Enter ZeeGee, aka Zombie Girl, a horror-loving burlesque dancer (and friend of Paranormal Pop Culture). This is what she had to say:
Imagine my surprise when I shambled across this article on Paranormal Pop Culture. Honestly, have any of us truly wondered what a zombie actually smells like? Probably not. You can tell by looking at them that they smell less than fresh; they're the living dead!
The folks at Demeter, however, must have had a few serious conversations about it, because this is now an actual thing. A thing that I absolutely had to have and may have paid rush shipment for. When it arrived, I was definitely nervous. Why do I want to smell like a walker? How is this going to smell? Why do I waste my money on these things?
One tiny spritz went onto my wrist and my first reaction went something like this: "OH GROSS!" The first note of the perfume is mildewey, which shouldn't have surprised me as it's part of the description on the Demeter website. BUT the moldy smell quickly fades and the spicy, earthy notes that you're left with are absolutely delightful.

This cologne is a limited edition, so after May 15 you'll have to get it from eBay or completely miss out. It's relatively inexpensive, $20 for a 1oz. spray bottle (less shipping), so I say stock up now! If you want to blend in when the dead walk the Earth, this is the way to go.

Zombie perfume arrives...yes, it's now a thing

Have you ever wanted to smell like a zombie? Most likely, the answer is no. There's just something about rotting, infected flesh that gives you a "not so fresh" feeling. But I must admit, when I’m watching The Walking Dead, the thought of how the post-apocalyptic world smells has crossed my mind.

Well maybe we can find out the truth without having our world go to hell via Demeter, the popular perfumery which specializes in single note scents that include "Dirt," "Cannabis Flower," and "Grass." Called "Zombie for Him" and "Zombie for Her," the limited time fragrances, available until April 20) will cost $20 for a 1 oz. spray, and $40 for 4 oz.

But how will these undead guys and gals smell? The dude zombies can expect to smell like a "combination of dried leaves, mushrooms, mildew, moss and earth." And ladies will enjoy emitting a lighter version of the male scent "with a touch of Dregs from the bottom of the wine barrel for that feminine touch."

I may need to pick up a bottle ... for research purposes. If you have smelled this Zomfume, let us know what you think!
