If you thought Sharknado would return to the murky depths from whence it came, you haven't been paying attention. With an upcoming sequel and official merch set to be released, it looks like the waters have been chummed for Girls Gone Wild to get in on the frenzy.
Long gone are the days of college co-eds baring their breasts for a T-shirt and baseball cap, as it appears that the GGW corporation is moving in a new direction.
"We're stepping up our game with a refined approach to filming great content, [...] It's 2013 and time to give our fans, something fresh, hip and entertaining that they've never seen before," an unnamed company executive recently shared in a press release.
After completely revamping their brand, the folks at Girls Gone Wild HQ have decided to tackle the Syfy network's hottest hit Sharknado in an upcoming parody. This spoof is at the top of the list of big changes for the company, which will include a new website, new talent and new titles filmed in exotic locales.
"Now is a better time than ever to broaden our scope and create content that appeals to the masses. These days, we're all about doing things the right way and giving our viewers what they want without the excess baggage of the past," the executive said, wrapping up his statement.
No release date for the parody has been set, but stay tuned!
