New 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' Trailer Brings the Humor and More Shredder

A new "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" trailer has just been released and it not only offers a ton more footage but also a more detailed look at the menacing and Transformer-like, Shredder (William Fichtner). Oh Michael Bay! It's obvious the film is not trying to be too cartoon-y and it's clearly trying to appeal to a wide audience. Could the violence cause some parents to keep their little Turtle fans away or will the humor (that's pretty well-represented in this trailer) settle their worries? The film is not yet rated so it will be interesting if it doesn't receive the kid-friendly PG.

TMNT heads to theaters on August 8 and will be available to see realD 3D.

Synopsis:
The city needs heroes. Darkness has settled over New York City as Shredder and his evil Foot Clan have an iron grip on everything from the police to the politicians. The future is grim until four unlikely outcast brothers rise from the sewers and discover their destiny as Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The Turtles must work with fearless reporter April and her wise-cracking cameraman Vern Fenwick to save the city and unravel Shredder’s diabolical plan.
