'Sharknado 3' Slowed By Strike

More like "Oh Hell YES!"
Fans of the "Sharknado" franchise may have to wait just a bit longer for the third installment. According to Deadline, approximately 30-40 members of the production crew walked off of the job in search of a health and pension agreement, otherwise known as an IATSE contract.

The Asylum, producers of the franchise, had their Burbank-based offices picketed; however, they could not be reached for further comments on the situation. While the third film is non-union, it is worth noting that "Sharknado 2" was filmed under an IATSE (union) contract.

Stars Ian Ziering, Tara Reid, Ryan Newman, Claudia Sheperd, Jack Griffo and Cassie Scerbo return alongside director, Anthony C. Ferrante. Cameos will include, but will certainly not be limited to, Mark Cuban, Anne Coulter, Bo Derek, Jerry Springer, Chris Kirkpatrick and Chris Jericho.

Should this issue be resolved quickly, we can expect to see "Sharknado 3" tearing its way from D.C. to Florida on Syfy this July. We'll keep you posted with any news!
