As if we haven't known for some time, it seems even more official after more than a year of speculation. The Syfy series Ghost Hunters International will have its third, and final, season released on DVD this Aug. 27. The title for the four-disc DVD set? Ghost Hunters International: The Final Season.”
GHI’s third season ran from July 13, 2011 to April 4, 2012 and featured team members Kris Williams Joe Chin, Paul Bradford, Susan Slaughter, Barry Fitzgerald and Scott Tepperman. Locations visited included Trinidad and Tobago; Turin, Italy; Limavady, Northern Ireland; and, Antwerp, Belgium.
We reported on what we believed to be the fairly final indication that GHI was just a ghost back in November when Notorious Hauntings (now known as Killer Contact) was announced for Syfy. But this seems to put the final lingering nail in the coffin short of an official statement.
Despite the crew listed, the DVD cover art only features part of the crew (Paul Bradford and Scott Tepperman are missing). According to Kat Coffin at Examiner.com, there’s another issue with the DVD: “The tag line for the DVD set says ‘Starring Barry FitzGerald, Britt Griffith and Kris Williams (2013),’ but Griffith wasn’t part of the final season crew.”
Bradford, a sometimes contributor for Paranormal Pop Culture, was rankled by the way the "announcement" was made and by his absence on the cover -- he also noted he is the fourth-longest running cast member on the show behind Robb Demarest (who left in the middle of Season Two), FitzGerald and Chin. Bradford sent the following statement about the DVD:

Doctor who?: Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker)
Paranormal phenomena: Loch Ness Monster
Synopsis:
The Doctor, Sarah Jane (Elizabeth Sladen) and Harry (Ian Marter) receive a distress call from the Brigadier in regard to some strange destruction of three supposedly unsinkable oil rigs off the coast of Scotland. What makes this even more interesting to the Doctor is the wreckage shows signs of giant teeth marks - teeth later discovered to be from the Loch Ness Monster. However Nessis isn’t all she appears to be and is in fact a cybernetic creature known as the Skarasen, which is being somewhat controlled by shape-shifting alien race known as the Zygons. Turns out the crashed to Earth long ago, and due to their home planet being destroyed, have decided to make our little planet their new home by ridding themselves of its current inhabitants.
Know your Doctor: In this story, the Loch Ness Monster is identified as being the Skarasen. However, in the story "Timelash" (Sixth Doctor), we are introduced to the Borad who is thrown back in time and the Doctor speculates that he will later become the legendary creature of the loch.

Doctor who?: Tenth Doctor (David Tennant)
Paranormal phenomena: Werewolf
The Doctor and companion Rose (Billie Piper) land in the Scottish moors in 1879 and encounter Queen Victoria. They join the traveling queen to her overnight stop, The Torchwood Estate, where they discover a brotherhood of evil monks who worship the Wolf. The monks wish to infect the queen with the curse of the werewolf to bring about the Empire of the Wolf and unleash their werewolf in the estate. As the Doctor and queen attempt to thwart it, they learn the wolf is actually an alien symbiote that takes over werewolf victims. Even though the Doctor and Rose save the Queen (and are knighted for it), she banishes them from the British Empire and creates the Torchwood Institute to investigate paranormal events.
Know your Doctor: This is actually the third time the Doctor has encountered Queen Victoria. In the television story "The Curse of Peladon," the Third Doctor (Jon Pertwee) mentioned having been in attendance at Queen Victoria's coronation, and in the novel "Empire of Death" the Fifth Doctor (Peter Davison) met Queen Victoria and was even appointed her Scientific Advisor.
