Destination America Offers a Daytime Block of Ghostly Programming

Not all of us like to watch soaps and talk-shows during the daytime hours and Destination America took the initiative in offering "No Life to Live." No it's not a new parasoap! Although that would be interesting. It's a block of paraprogramming that begins on Monday, June 1 and runs 9-5 p.m. ET. The programming runs Monday through Friday for the full eight hours and will feature shows such as; "Ghost Asylum," "Amish Haunting," "Ghost Stalkers" and "A Haunting."

Imagine you’re watching a scary ghost show – a terrifying one, like GHOST ASYLUM on Destination America. The lights are off. No one else is home. Then BANG! There’s a knock at the door. You hear creaking, the muffled yell of a disembodied voice, the sound of something big and heavy dragging across the floor. You weren’t expecting company at this hour. The clock strikes 12… in the afternoon and you realize it’s only the package deliveryman. Who says ghost stories are just for nighttime?

Starting this June, daytime becomes playtime for fans of all things creepy with the debut of NO LIFE TO LIVE on Destination America beginning Monday, June 1 from 9am-5pm ET. Continuing weekly Monday through Friday, the daytime programming block presents eight full hours of ghostly myths and legends so chilling that even daylight can’t scare away the heebie-jeebies. Viewer favorites including GHOST ASYLUM, A HAUNTING, GHOSTLY ENCOUNTERS, and GHOSTS IN MY HOUSE deliver all the drama of typical daytime fare with demons, visions, and ghouls in place of soap operas’ divas, villains, and girls next door.

With the series premiere of Destination America's "When Ghosts Attack" right around the corner, we've got a sneak peek into the rest of the first season for you.

"When Ghosts Attack," will take viewers on a dark ride into the paranormal. First hand witness accounts will bring terrifying true tales of hauntings gone bad. The first episode, "There's No Place Like Hell," features two stories of families that face unseen horrors and leave them fearing for their very lives.

The show debuts on October 20 at 10 p.m ET, after the season finale of "A Haunting." The rest of the season sounds just as fear inducing as the premiere, so here's a quick run-down on what to expect from this fantastic new show. Tune in and let us know what you think!

New Series 'When Ghosts Attack' to Premiere on Destination America

Destination America is bringing in the big scares just in time for Halloween. "When Ghosts Attack" revolves around reportedly true cases of demonic or malevolent spirit attacks; including first person accounts from the victims of these paranormal invasions, ranging from hushed threats to physical assault and harm.

According to Marc Etkind, general manager of Destination America, "You might think you know the makings of a scary story – rattling chains and bumps in the night – but these aren’t your average campfire tales, "When Ghosts Attack" is like nothing you’ve ever seen, revealing shocking evidence and first-person testimony that ghosts don’t just go ‘boo!’ but can actually break the bounds of the spirit world to make violent physical contact with the living.”

The first episode, "There's No Place Like Hell," focuses on the Settle family of LaFayetteville, West Virginia and Marsha Eden of Central New Jersey. When Lori Settle and her family move into their new home, all seems as it should be. However, a week after they move in, she begins to feel a dark presence following her and strange occurrences, leading to physical attacks, lead Lori to believe that something deadly and unseen is in their home. Marsha Eden and her children move into an idyllic apartment home in New Jersey, right across from an abandoned mill. Soon enough, their nights are filled with mysterious voices and creepy confrontations that have them fearing for their lives.

The first of eight episodes will premiere on October 20 at 10 p.m.  ET, following the season finale of "A Haunting."
