Will Ferrell asks Roger Federer: 'Are you a vampire?'

Swiss tennis player Roger Federer is not only perhaps the greatest player the game has ever seen, he may also be a member of the undead.

At least, that's what Will Ferrel was wondering when the comedian was interviewing him following his win this week against Aljaz Bedene in the first round of the Australian Open.

After Ferrell asked if Federer is a "silky gazelle" -- a notion the pro dismissed because they get eaten in the end -- the erstwhile Elf pointed out the 36 year-old is "ageless."

So, naturally, Ferrell wondered, "Are you a witch or a vampire?"

Federer dodged, asking Ferrell which one was better to be ("Probably a vampire," he replied), but more importantly: Roger Federer did not deny his status as the damned.

Granted, he would probably need a lot of sunblock on the tennis court if he is a vampire. But, daywalker, anyone?

MTV Movie Awards gets un-deadly with celebs

The MTV Movie Awards airs Sunday, April 14 at 9 p.m. ET and while the event will be aired live, one of the promos is very dead-on.

Some of the celebrities that will take the show’s stage, look a little ... rotten. In an homage to The Walking Dead, the promo will feature Will Ferrell, Emma Watson, Seth Rogen, Selena Gomez and the show’s host, Rebel Wilson, morphing into some creepy looking walkers.

If you plan on watching the season finale of The Walking Dead this Sunday on AMC at 9 p.m. ET, you can see what we’re talking about. Or, you can check it out here, compliments of MTV Geek...

New 'Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters' trailer

We have to wait until Jan. 25 to see what looks to be a seriously kick-ass movie from Paramount Studios, but you can catch a red band sneak peek here.

Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters  is directed by Tommy Wirkola (Dead Snow) and stars Jeremy Renner as Hansel, and Gemma Arterton as his sister, Gretel. It also features Famke Janssen (Lord of Illusions, X-Men) as "Muriel," an evil sorceress who is gathering the village children for a very important sacrifice. Derek Mears (Jason Voorhees from the 2009 remake of Friday the 13th, and Paranormal Paparazzi interviewee) is also featured in the cast and will no doubt contribute to some of the action-packed scenes.

The official synopsis: 15 years after their traumatic gingerbread-house incident, siblings Hansel and Gretel have become a formidable team of bounty hunters who track and kill witches all over the world.

The trailer depicts tons of action, violence and a sexy look that will look even more fantastic in 3D and IMAX 3D. Will you be heading to theaters to check it out? What other classic fairy tales would you like to see amped-up on the screen? So many are being re-made into fantasy action flicks (Red Riding Hood, Snow White...) that it’s only a matter of time that Goldilocks gets her turn!

Of course, if you are suspicious of the new flick - and perhaps detect a whiff of cheese - it is likely worth noting that the film is produced by Will Ferrell and Adam McKay. Seriously.

Will Ferrell and the haunted John of sex

OK, take this one for what it's worth since it doesn't have a direct quote, but Will Ferrell recently fled his trailer on the New Orleans set of Dog Fight after suspecting it was haunted.

The National Enquirer reports an on-set source that said, "During a break in filming, Will had gone to his dressing trailer to rest, but when he got there, he heard an eerie rattling noise - then strange voices coming from the bathroom."

Ferrell reportedly thought there were intruders in his bathroom, and that it sounded like someone having sex in there.

After security was called to check it out, Ferrell returned to the trailer "but once again, he heard the weird noises coming from the bathroom ... This time, he threw open the door and was shocked when he saw...NOTHING!" The source says that Ferrell announced, "It’s ghosts from that graveyard ... and I’m NOT going back in there." So the producers were forced to get the comedian a new trailer.

File this one under "as told by dubious source."
