Scream Factory Summer of Fear Drive-In Presents "Night of the Demons"

In the spirit of Friday the 13th, Scream Factory's Summer of Fear Drive-In will be presenting the cult classic "Night of the Demons." The film will be streaming live via the Scream Factory YouTube channel and the Summer of Fear Drive-In site, and will feature exclusive interviews with the films director, Kevin S. Tenney and star Amelia Kinkade.

For those unfamiliar with "Night of the Demons," here is a synopsis of the film: "It’s Halloween night and Angela is throwing a party…but this is no ordinary Halloween party. Everybody’s headed to Hull House, a deserted funeral home, formerly the home of a mass murderer. But when the partygoers decide to have a séance, they awaken something evil...and these party crashers have a thirst for blood. Now it’s a battle for who can survive the night in Hull House."

Viewers will be allowed to interact with Scream Factory and other fans during the broadcast by posting comments on the YouTube channel and using #summeroffear on Twitter. The Summer of Fear Drive-In is a special presentation by Scream Factory, taking place over 3 consecutive Fridays in June, and features live online screenings of certain films with special behind the scenes looks and insights from actors and filmmakers. All the fun of a drive-in movie without the hassle of leaving your home!

'Sharknado 2: The Second One' Adds Cast Members

Just when you thought it was safe... "Sharknado 2: The Second One" unleashes casting news on the masses! Deadline is reporting that the Syfy original pop-cult classic will be going into production next week, and the growing victim, er, cast list, is pretty phenomenal. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return as Fin and April (this time as Sharknado experts) which comes in handy as they are faced with the unnatural disaster in New York City.

Joining these two majestic creatures is a bevy of equally fantastic actors, including Vivica A. Fox (Fin's high school chum), Mark McGrath (Fin's brother-in-law), Kelly Osbourne (a flight attendant), Judah Friedlander (Brian), Andy Dick (a police officer) and Judd Hirsch (a TAXI driver).

'Splash Area: Night of the Freaks' Coming to DVD and Digital Media

Eagle One Media is bringing "Splash Area: Night of the Freaks" to North American DVD and digital media. The Irish horror film by George Clark, is made of nightmares, or mine as it were, because it centers around murderous clowns.

From the press release:

Halloween Night. A gang of killer clowns are on the rampage and after seeing their friend mutilated by them, three friends decided to go above the law in a bid to stop the red nosed crazies. Following them to an old asylum, they soon become the hunted in this fun house of blood and guts, fighting for survival against muscle, madness and chainsaws... Putting an unusual spin on the usual 'teens vs killers' flick, Splash Area delivers a grindhouse horror with a cast of fresh faces, plenty of action and enough black comedy to keep everyone happy!

News on the 'Pin' Remake

In 2011, it looked as if the 1988 horror flick, Pin, was headed towards a remake, but nothing ever came to fruition. Fast forward a few years, and it looks as if the creepy doll will be brought back to life this year!

According to Bloody Disgusting, director of the original film, Sandor Stern, will be returning to direct and co-write the remake with Jack Reher and Nicholas Bogner acting as producer. This time around, the team will be basing the film off of Andrew Neiderman's book of the same name. The original film starred Terry O'Quinn, and for those who haven't seen it, here is a brief plot summary:

Meet Pin, a harmless mute and lifeless fantasy in little Leon's mind - a fantasy that initially took form when Leon's father imparted life lessons to him through the use of an anatomical dummy. At first a source of amusement and comfort, Pin demonically evolves into the object of Leon's mad fixation. Soon, Leon and Pin quietly but thoroughly eliminate anyone who intrudes into their private world.
