Filmmaker, Guillermo del Toro has his hands in several projects and in a recent red carpet interview with Cinefilos, he provided some insight into developments on “Justice League Dark.”

In the interview, he states:

We're still on [Justice League Dark] writing, and hopefully it will happen but there are no developments that are new. It's still at Warner Bros., they are making plans for the entire DC universe. All the superheroes, all the mythologies, and part of that is Justice League Dark. They're planning on TV, movies, and all the media, so we have to fit into that plan.

The film is the brainchild of del Toro and is based on the 2011 comic book series. The series originally featured John Constantine, Madame Xanadu, Deadman, Shade, the Changing Man and Zatanna. According to del Toro, in the film, the DC superhero team up against supernatural bad boys will include Swamp Thing, Constantine, The Spectre, Deadman, Zatanna and Zatara.

Also in the brief interview, del Toro discusses the ghost story that he’s been involved with, “Crimson Peak,” and promises “unique-looking ghosts."

Check out the interview and let us know your thoughts. Is DC doing a good job keeping up with Marvel? We'll keep you posted on any new developments.
