'Constantine,' 'The Flash' and 'iZombie' Have Been Officially Ordered to Series

The 2014-2015 television schedule has just gotten a little bit more nerdy, as Deadline and Newsarama have both reported that three new television series' have officially been ordered. Coming to the small screen will be "Constantine," "The Flash" and "iZombie." "Constantine" will be joining "Gotham" on FOX, while "The Flash" and "iZombie" will take up residence at The CW.

"Constantine" centers on John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond. The pilot will be written by Daniel Cerone, who penned the original story with David S. Goyer.

"The Flash," a spin-off of the popular "Arrow," is based on characters by DC Comics and centers around scientist Barry Allen, who is given the power of super speed through a freak accident, which transforms him into the Fastest Man Alive. Grant Guston stars as Barry Allen, with DC Entertainment CCO Geoff Johns, Andrew Kreisberg and Greg Berlanti, also of "Arrow," executive producing the series.

"iZombie" is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on a med student-turned-zombie who takes a job in the coroner’s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse’s memories, and with the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Based off of the 2010 DC Vertigo Imprint comic by Michael Allred and Chris Roberson, the show will star Rose McIver as main character Liv.
