'Aliens: Colonial Marines' trailer: Baddest muthas in the galaxy?

A direct sequel to James Cameron's Aliens, the Colonial Marines first-person shooter video game by Sega puts the player back on planet LV-426 in the character of Cpl. Winter. Winter and his colonial marines are sent on a mission to eradicate the xenomorphs who wiped out the LV-426 settlement and the Sulaco crew. Of course, that's harder than it sounds.

In fact, from my personal game-playing experience at New York Comic-Con, it is a lot harder. The game gives you an arsenal of heavy duty firepower - flamethrower, RPGs, pulse rifle, etc. - as well as the assistance of Android Bishop (played, again, by Lance Henriksen) in a mission to eradicate the Facehugger, Chestburster, Drone, Runner and Queen xenomorphs.

Playable in campaign and multiplayer modes (which also allows you to play as an alien), the game is a creepy horror thrill that keeps you jumpy. But don't just take my word for it, check out the "bad ass" trailer below and pick up the game when it's released Feb. 12
