Whovians just learned not only the title of the Doctor Who Season 7 finale, but also some other clues to what the episode will bring. Thanks to a new poster just released by The BBC, we know that "The Name of the Doctor" will conclude an already exciting season.
According to the poster, River Song (Alex Kingston) will be joining the Doctor (Matt Smith) and his companion, Clara (Jenna-Louise Coleman) for the final adventure. So much could be interpreted from the title.
Keep in mind that River (who is also married to the Doctor while he's also become quite flirty with Clara) whispered the tenth Doctor his name in Gallifreyan so he would trust her (see "Forest of the Dead"). That was his first encounter with her in his timeline, but her last. So what will lead to the Doctor telling her his name? Will the mystery of Clara and the many secrets she holds, be solved?
The season continues tomorrow night with the haunted house episode, "Hide" at 8 p.m. ET on BBC America. The remainder of the season promises, fans will also "journey to the center of the TARDIS" and experience a "nightmare clash with the mighty Cybermen."
Of course we have to mention the Nick Hurran-directed 50th Anniversary special that will air this November 23, and the recent additions of alums David Tennant, Billy Piper, Jemma Redgrave.
