'Lost Girl' app puts the fae on your phone

To correspond with tonight’s season finale of its supernatural drama Lost Girl, Syfy announced today that Lost Girl: The Game will be launched as a free app on iOS and Android devices. Developed by Complex Games, this is Syfy’s first venture into the mobile gaming world.

According to the Syfy description, the game is an "interactive, mission-based, experience" that features an original storyline penned by the show’s writers. Fans can create their own Fae character who enters the virtual world and the mysteries it holds. Personalized avatars can also be created so the player can obtain objects, score points, and unlock new levels.

According to Jeff Li, Vice President Syfy Ventures, "Fans of Syfy’s Lost Girl will have a new platform to explore the Lost Girl world" and that those same fans have been "clamoring for new ways to engage with the hit series."

The fourth season of the series will return in 2014 with 13 new episodes.
