Indy or Han? Harrison Ford Heads to Reddit for 'Ask Me Anything'

Harrison Ford took some time away from being awesome to answer questions for Reddit's famous "Ask Me Anything" and some very interesting facts were revealed. Did we find out who shot first? Does he hate snakes as much as Indiana Jones? Here's a little summary to fill you in on what went down...

First, he introduced himself and revealed that it was indeed him:
Harrison Ford here. You all probably know me from movies such as Star Wars and Indiana Jones. I recently acted as a correspondent for Years of Living Dangerously, a new Showtime docuseries about climate change which airs tomorrow, April 13, at 10 p.m. ET. I’ll be here with Victoria from reddit for the next hour answering your questions.

He was indeed asked how he feels about snakes and responded:
I actually like snakes! When I was young, I was a boy scout nature camp counselor, and one of our projects was collecting snakes and creating an environment for them, so I'm quite familiar with snakes and think they'r fantastic creatures.

The Future of 'Indiana Jones' Now in the Hands of Disney

According to an announcement made on Friday, December 6, Paramount Pictures and The Walt Disney Studios reached a marketing and distribution agreement regarding future “Indiana Jones” films. What does this mean? A few things. Two of George Lucas’ huge franchises (“Star Wars” and “Indiana Jones”) are now property of Disney and even though Disney has owned the production rights since 2012 when they acquired LucasFilm, they now have the marketing and distribution rights for any future films as well.

According to Entertainment Weekly, “In return for the rights, Paramount will receive ‘financial participation on any future films.’ In other words, the studio will still get an undisclosed cut of the business. Paramount will retain distribution rights for the first four films in the series.”

There are no plans for Indy to return to the big screen any time soon nor do we know if Harrison Ford would reprise his iconic role. This acquisition will no doubt make it easier for another film to be made but will it be a reboot or a continuation from the last film (“Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull”)? And how many might there be?

Indiana Jones gets Blu-ray release date

The end of Summer and beginning of Fall 2012 will henceforth be referred to as the Season of Spielberg.

Even though we've known the Indiana Jones series would be appearing in Blu-ray form for a few months now, it was announced by Paramount Home Entertainment and Lucasfilm that Indiana Jones: The Complete Collection would arrive Sept. 18 - and included a completely restored Raiders of the Lost Ark.

The Indy collection comes about a month after Jaws is released on Blu-ray on Aug. 14, and about a month before E.T.: The Extra-Terrestrial hits in October (with the digitally erased guns back).

'Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom' Behind the Scenes pic

I'm a big fan of Eric "Quint" Vespe's "Behind The Scenes Pic of the Day" column over at aintitcool.com, and just couldn't resist sharing this one. This is Harrison Ford just being silly and enjoying his time on the set of the underrated Temple of Doom. This is one of those pics that immediately calls to mind why the first three Indiana Jones flicks are so special to me as a movie geek.
