This parody film with a very long title boasts French Stewart as its biggest name, and tries to pack a lot of pop-culture references in. After a stint in a psychiatric hospital, a young woman returns to the house where her father killed the entire cast of The Artist during his exorcism.

Starring Ed Stoppard, Leelee Sobieski, Jeffrey Tambor and Max von Sydow, this is a trippy fantasy set in a dystopian society where corporate brands have unleashed a monstrous global conspiracy to get inside our minds and keep the population disillusioned, dependent and passive.

I Am Bruce Lee (NR)
This documentary takes a look at the popularity of Bruce Lee, from his death over three decades ago to present day and captures what made him such a popular martial artist. It also takes a look at how he pioneered martial art films and includes archived footage as well as new and old interviews.

'Paranormal Witness' renewed for Season Three

According to a Syfy press release, the network is renewing Paranormal Witness for a third season with a 20-episode order. Expected to air June 2013, the news was announced today by Mark Stern, President Original Content, Syfy and Co-Head, Original Content, Universal Cable Productions.

The news is no surprise since the season two premiere - which aired Wednesday, Aug. 8 - was a Top 10 telecast in the 10 p.m. hour on cable that night. The first three episodes of the season have averaged 1.2 million total viewers.

The show, which airs Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT, highlights paranormal experiences of everyday people and combines interviews with eyewitness and reenactment footage.

Tonight's episode ties into the Aug. 31 horror movie release, The Possession. In the episode, "The Dybbuk Box," a Portland, Ore., antiques dealer ignores warnings not to open the old curio cabinet he bought at an estate sale. He unknowingly unleashes a dybbuk, a malevolent spirit from Jewish folklore, which begins to wreak havoc on his life.

Paranormal Witness is produced by Raw TV (Locked Up Abroad and Gold Rush: Alaska). Series producers are Mark Lewis and Lucy van Beek. Executive producer is Bart Layton.

'Sinister' & 'The Possession' continues haunted item, scary kid genre

If recent horror movies should have taught you anything, it's that A) kids are creepy (especially little girls), B) you should not buy any old items from yard sales or explore objects found in attics/basements/crawlspaces because C) demons love to haunt those items and make personal connections with aforementioned creepy kids in the process.

Case in point, Sinister and The Possession, two upcoming films that play with all of those tropes...
