A Pilot for a Follow-Up Series to 'Bewitched' is Coming to NBC

It's been 50 years since its debut on ABC (September 17, 1964 to be exact) so it's about time "Bewitched" wiggled back into our living rooms. Or is it? Deadline is reporting that after a bidding situation between ABC and NBC, NBC has landed a pilot for a follow-up series to the supernatural sitcom. Sorry, ABC.

It's not really a "reboot" or a "remake" since the series will focus on Samantha's granddaughter/Tabitha's daughter. Deadline describes the comedy, "It centers on Daphne — Samantha’s granddaughter and Tabitha’s daughter — a single twentysomething witch who has always used her magical powers to conjure herself the perfect life. But she soon realizes that the one thing she cannot conjure and control is the one thing she wants most — real love."

If you recall, the original series that ran until 1972 featured Elizabeth Montgomery as an adorable witch with a colorful family who married a repressive mortal man (played by two different men named Dick). Seriously, he wasn't the most supportive husband now was he? The bore a sweet daughter (Tabitha) who possessed magical powers and mayhem ensued. Oh they had a son too in season six but no one remembers poor Adam.

Was "Bewitched" a favorite of yours? It was a fav of mine and I was even bestowed the middle name "Samantha" in honor of the lead character. Will you be watching the follow-up series? Infographic Helps Celebrate the Tenth Anniversary of 'Lost'

J.J. Abrams' action-adventure series "Lost" ran from September 22, 2004 to May 23, 2010 on ABC. To celebrate the show's tenth anniversary, the folks over at Moviepilot created some cool infographics. The one below depicts "Kills in Lost" and, well, includes the show's characters and their kill count.

It's pretty self-explanatory so check it out and let us know if you're surprised by numbers...

ABC Primetime Special, 'Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe' Will Offer Exclusive Looks at Upcoming Marvel Films

On Tuesday, March 18 at 8 p.m. ET on ABC, you are invited to join not only stars from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, but also celebrity fans, filmmakers and pop culture icons for a world premiere primetime event. This exclusive documentary, "Marvel Studios: Assembling a Universe," will allow audiences to be "taken further into the Marvel Cinematic Universe than ever before, offering viewers a front row seat to the inception of Marvel Studios, the record-breaking films, the cultural phenomenon, and further expansion of the universe by Marvel Television."

The release offers more details and take note of the exclusive sneak peeks it will offer (hint...a look at "Age of Ultron!"):

Marvel’s first television special documents the exciting story behind Marvel Studios and the Marvel Cinematic Universe, featuring exclusive interviews and behind-the-scenes footage from all of the Marvel films, the Marvel One-Shots and “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Viewers will walk a clear path through this amazing and nuanced universe, featuring sneak peeks at the future of “Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” on ABC, new footage from Marvel Studios upcoming theatrical releases, “Captain America: The Winter Solider” and “Guardians of The Galaxy,” and a sneak peek at the upcoming Marvel’s “The Avengers: Age of Ultron.”

The one-hour special airs on ABC on Tuesday, March 18 at 8 p.m. ET.

Stan Lee to Appear on 'Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

An exclusive over at The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed what has been speculated upon for weeks. Stan Lee revealed that he will be not only be making an appearance on an episode of ABC's "Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." but that it's a "big role." Details on the role or just how big it will be is unclear, but it's being reported that the episode "will most likely air Feb. 4, though that is subject to change."

Lee, who is an executive producer on the series, is known for making "a million cameos" in Marvel films. However, THR reports that he has his first starring role in the animated movie "Stan Lee's Mighty 7," in which he "mentors a group of superheroes while writing about their adventures in comic books." The movie premieres on Hub Network at 8 p.m. February 1.

Paranormal Pop Culture: 2014 Winter TV Guide

The holidays are over and now we can resume watching not only our favorite TV programs but also get addicted to some new shows. From blood-suckers to aliens to ghosts, there's something for everyone to enjoy from the comfort of their couch.

Syfy is handing out the goodies with their new shows "Helix," Bitten," and "Opposite Worlds." The CW is starting off the new year with the return of "Arrow," new fan-fav, "The Originals," as well as introducing us to "The 100." Some shows are returning but don't yet have a premiere date locked down, for example, "Mountain Monsters" will be returning to Destination America in "early 2014" and we're eagerly awaiting a premiere date for "Game of Thrones." So here you go! A winter and early spring guide to new and old.

Haunted House Reality Series Heading to ABC

An exclusive over at The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that a new unscripted haunted house reality series is heading to ABC. Details surrounding the unnamed series are being kept a secret but the project has been sold by Warner Bros. president of unscripted reality and programming, Mike Darnell. Prolific “Insidious” producer, Jason Blum and his Blumhouse productions are slated to be the project’s executive producer.

More details came thanks to Variety, “Variety has confirmed that the project currently has a pilot order at the Alphabet and will deal with haunted houses, a seemingly endless area of focus for nonfiction cable nets, with Travel Channel, Syfy and others offering haunted house fare.”

According to THR, the collaboration between ABC and Blum “…marks a reunion with ABC, where Blumhouse produced the found-footage horror series 'The River' with 'Paranormal Activity' director Oren Peli in early 2012. Though that project ultimately was short-lived, the company has continued to beef up its horror portfolio, with franchises that include 'The Purge' and 'Insidious.'”

'Toy Story of TERROR!' Airs Tonight on ABC

Tonight on ABC at 8 p.m. ET, be prepared for scares that go to infinity and beyond.

With “Toy Story of TERROR!” Disney Pixar brings us their first special for television featuring our “Toy Story” faves, including Tim Allen and Tom Hanks reprising their roles as Buzz and Woody.

In addition to the toys we’ve grown to know and love, we’ll also be re-introduced to the G.I. Joe-ish “Combat Carl” (Carl Weathers). Even though we briefly met him in the first “Toy Story,” Carl steps in to help defend the toys when in danger.

ABC, CBS plan paranormal summer 2013

ABC isn’t giving up on paranormal shows, despite the recent cancellation of the Faustian drama 666 Park Avenue. In fact, the net has ordered a new series for the Summer 2013 slate called Weird Desk.

The show is already being compared to The X-Files and is written by Stargate’s Carl Binder and The Librarian’s David Titcher.

According to Deadline.com, the show revolves around a "clandestine organization" that investigates "alleged real-life mysteries from this world and beyond."

The Weird Desk works "above the levels of top secret and above the office of the President" and is "the destination for mysterious intelligence rerouted from the CIA and NSA ... tasked with investigating and solving occurrences of the paranormal, supernatural and sometimes extra-terrestrial." The lead characters are "Morgan," a socially-awkward genius and his special forces partner "Rosetta."

Not to be outdone, summer has CBS premiering the Steven Spielberg-produced drama, Under the Dome, based on the Stephen King novel. According to HuffingtonPost the series "will follow a New England town that finds itself suddenly - and without explanation - sealed off from the rest of the world by a transparent dome; The town's residents wind up living in post-apocalyptic conditions while they search for answers about the dome.”

With TNT bringing back fan-favorite Falling Skies, this summer is shaping up to be extra mysterious and paranormally fantastic!

So you say you want a 'Revolution'?

Who turned out the lights? Apparently NBC and Iron Man director Jon Favreau will, along with help from J.J. Abrams, this fall when the new show Revolution debuts. Set in a world 15 years after humanity loses electricity and power, the show is a post-apocalyptic saga where rebels must fight against martial law and ... well, you get the idea.

As our colleague, CNN.com's Henry Hanks put it, it's The Walking Dead, Terra Nova and Falling Skies without zombies, dinos or aliens.

What do you think of the first look? The swordplay looks sweet, and it's always a pleasure to see Giancarlo Esposito (Breaking Bad), but will you tune in to see a world thrust into the dark?
