Official Trailer Released for 'Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice'

'Super-Fan Builds' Dreams Up a Batmobile Stroller
You know how parents think their child is the awesomest in all the land? Imagine if you're bragging about your toddler and the Joneses you're trying to keep up with whip out their kid's Batmobile stroller and ask you to go for a walk. Your argument is then rendered 'invalid.'
According to Toyland.Gizmodo.com, the team that brought us that Groot swing everyone couldn't stop talking about (because it was awesome), created a fully functional (yet non-folding) Batmobile stroller based on the "Tumbler Batmobile from the Christopher Nolan Dark Knight trilogy." The teams is called Super-Fan Builds and the video is embedded below so you can check out what they did.
Now to get our nerdy little hands on one...even if we don't have a Batbaby.

USPS To Release Batman Forever Stamps in Time For NYCC

According to the USPS, "This new issuance showcases eight unique designs in a sheet of 20 stamps. Four versions of the iconic DC Comics super hero are depicted from four eras of comic book history. In addition, there are four incarnations of the Bat-Signal." The stamps will be available on October 9 but you can click here to pre-order.

The first row of stamps features Batman with his fists clenched. This muscular, determined Caped Crusader has spent the Modern Age of Comics defending Gotham City from its most notorious villains.
The second row of stamps displays Batman dramatically staring up at the Bat-Signal. By the Bronze Age of Comics, artists had encased the super hero’s spare black bat emblem with a yellow oval. The insignia became the crime fighter’s trademark.
The third row of stamps shows Batman swooping into the frame with his cape flying behind him. The image, from the Silver Age of Comics, accentuates the super hero’s signature glowing white eyes and utility belt.
DC Comics Announces Horror Series 'Gotham by Midnight'

Gotham is already a weird city full of maniacs and mobsters. Normally, Batman and company have it covered, but add monsters or ghosts to the mix, and even they need some outside help.
Enter the Midnight Shift, Gotham City Police Department's answer to The X-Files -- and the team called in to handle cases outside the depth of the Caped Crusader. Led by Detective Jim Corrigan, they debut in DC Comics' all-new supernatural/horror adventure book, Gotham by Midnight, on sale Nov. 26.
Spearheaded by a horror comic superteam of writer Ray Fawkes (Constantine, Batman Eternal) and artist Ben Templesmith (30 Days of Night, Ten Grand), Gotham by Midnight spins off from the pages of Batman Eternal but operates independently of that title. And while Bats will be around, because this is set in Gotham, after all, his main function in the book is to liaise with Corrigan.
In this Blastr exclusive, we caught up with Fawkes to discuss the world of Gotham by Midnight, the supernatural sickness that plagues the city, and Fawkes' own connection to the horror genre. USA Today reveals, "The director can't say exactly how the relationship between the two superheroes evolves, 'but suffice it to say there is a 'v' in between their names' in the movie title, Snyder says. He explains that having the "v" instead of 'vs.' is a way 'to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way.'"
Snyder also understands why fans are so excited for the film, "You can talk all you want about other superhero movies, but it's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest. I don't know how you get bigger than that."

Fox Releases its First Trailer for 'Gotham'

We meet... The Penguin's boss lady, Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett-Smith) and even catch glimpses of Poison Ivy, Clayface (don't blink for this cameo), Alfred, The Riddler, and of course, Donal Logue as Harvey Bullock. We have to wait until this fall for the premiere and if the trailers for "Gotham" keep looking this epic, the wait will be agonizing. The great news it, Fox picked up Gotham for “at least” 13 episodes for next season, according to Entertainment Weekly.
Three New Cast Members Join Zack Snyder's 'Man of Steel' Sequel

The film's director, Zack Snyder, commented on the casting:
“Holly has always been one of my favorite actresses; she has immense talent and is always captivating on screen. I had an opportunity to meet her a while back and knew instantly that I had to work with her, so as we began writing the script I made sure to create a role specifically for her.
“I just had the good fortune to work with Callan on ‘300: Rise of an Empire’ and was very impressed with his incredible talent,” the director continued. “He’s a fantastic actor and I’m looking forward to having the chance to work with him again. And, quite simply, Tao is a striking presence whose beauty is aptly rivaled by her amazing abilities as an actress. I’m really excited to have her joining us on this adventure.”
Hunter, Mulvey and Okamoto join fellow cast members who include; Henry Cavill who will return to star as Superman/Clark Kent, Ben Affleck as Batman/Bruce Wayne, and Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman/Diana Prince. Other recent casting includes Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor and Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and “Man of Steel” stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane.
May 6, 2016 is the target date for the film's release.

The role of "Selina Kyle" goes to newcomer, Camren Bicondova (who bears a striking resemblance to Michelle Pfeiffer). Selina is described as a "teenage orphan who is suspicious and wholly unpredictable. A street thief and skilled pickpocket, she’s dangerous when cornered."
Fox's "Gotham" Casts Alfred Pennyworth, the Penguin and More!

According to the Hollywood Reporter, The Penguin is described as "having the brains of a chess grandmaster and the morals of a jackal who is a low-level psychopath for gangster Fish Mooney who hides his sadistic lust for power behind an exquisitely polite demeanor." Taylor is the first actor to step into the role since Danny DeVito in "Batman Returns" was released in 1992.
Sean Pertwee, son of third Doctor Jon Pertwee, will be playing the "tough as nails ex-Marine from East London," that was a loyal family servant turned fierce protector of the orphaned Bruce Wayne. Pertwee will be joining actors such as Michael Caine, Alan Napier and Michael Gough, who have also portrayed the beloved Pennyworth.
Zabryna Guevara is also joining the cast as Det. Gordon's boss, Captain Essen. Erin Richards rounds out the latest casting news as Barbara Kean, Det. Gordon's fiancee and gifted ER doctor.During the Television Critics Association's winter press tour, Fox chairman Kevin Reilly said that Batman fans can absolutely expect to see their favorite characters on the screen, stating "This is not one of the things where you bought a franchise and then none of characters people know, we will follow Bruce Wayne right up until the point where he gets interesting[...]This is all of the classic Batman characters."
The pilot was written by Bruno Heller ("Rome," "The Mentalist") and will be directed by Danny Cannon ("Nikita," "CSI"), with the pair co-executive producing. So far there is no word on when production will begin, but stay tuned and we will keep you posted!

Based on characters from the DC Comics classic, "Gotham" is a drama that will explore the origins of future Commissioner James Gordon, an adolescent Bruce Wayne and the infamous villains of Gotham city.
"We see Detective Gordon, before he's a commissioner, all the characters you know, Bruce Wayne, the Penguin, all of them. It's Gotham teetering on the edge, and we see what makes these characters become who they are, [like] Catwoman. It's an operatic soap that has a slightly larger-than-life quality to it," Fox chairman Kevin Reilly stated.
McKenzie is the first member to be cast in the series, which is currently in the process of being written. Stay tuned for all the latest right here!

Jesse Eisenberg and Jeremy Irons Added to 'Man of Steel' Sequel

Despite earlier rumors that Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad") would be taking on Clark Kent, director Zack Snyder went with a less obvious choice by casting 30-year-old Eisenberg. In an interview, Snyder stated “Lex Luthor is often considered the most notorious of Superman’s rivals, his unsavory reputation preceding him since 1940[...] What’s great about Lex is that he exists beyond the confines of the stereotypical nefarious villain. He’s a complicated and sophisticated character whose intellect, wealth and prominence position him as one of the few mortals able to challenge the incredible might of Superman. Having Jesse in the role allows us to explore that interesting dynamic, and also take the character in some new and unexpected directions.”
Fox's 'Gotham' to Feature Classic Characters
Fox's new drama "Gotham" just got a little more interesting. Originally described as an origin story of Commissioner James Gordon, it seems as if things have changed.Initially, the show had little to do with Bruce Wayne, but Fox Chairman Kevin Reilly revealed some new twists during an interview at the Television Critics Association press tour. Not only will audiences be getting a healthy dose of the future hero of Gotham, they will also be getting insight into the villains as well.

Jason Momoa Joining 'Batman vs. Superman' Film?

While it is currently unclear as to what role Momoa would be playing, there is a little speculation that narrows it down. First up is Justice League member, the Martian Manhunter, who is a super-powered alien that is trapped on planet Earth. However, it has been long rumored that the films villain would be Doomsday, a scientifically engineered Kryptonian killing machine. Doomsday infamously "killed" Superman back in 1992, and his appearance was even hinted at in the extras on "Man of Steel" Blu-ray.
Known for roles that showcase his beefy physique, such as Khal Drogo ("Game of Thrones") and Conan ("Conan the Barbarian"), Momoa could fill either role quite well.
Neither Snyder or Warner Bros. had any comments on this news at the moment.

Holy Fashion Statement! We bet you never knew the Caped Crusader had so many looks ... unless you're a die-hard comic book fan. For those of you who aren't, take a gander at some of the wild and crazy Bat Suits sported over the years, thanks to this "Evolution of the Bat Suit" infographic via Moviepilot.com.
From Batman's first appearance in 1939's Detective Comics #27 to the modern look we're all familiar with to everything in-between, you'll be surprised by some of his other looks. "Jungle Batman?" "Rainbow Batman?" And oh yeah, "Zebra Batman."

Ben Affleck Cast as Batman in Upcoming Film

Variety is reporting that the Zack Snyder-directed and yet-to-be-named movie featuring Batman and Superman will be released on July 17, 2015 and feature Affleck in the role of Bruce Wayne.
Warner Bros. president, Greg Silverman stated, “We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics’ most enduringly popular Super Heroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some.”
We learned last month at San Diego Comic Con that the film would be a reality and that Henry Cavill would be returning as the Man of Steel.
Snyder is stoked to be working with Affleck, “Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry’s Superman. He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can’t wait to work with him.”

New Comics: July 31, 2013
BY DAVID BERCKIt’s the fifth week of the month (or it was when I wrote this) and you know what that means! Annuals!! That’s right, DC has decided to hit the market with five annuals and a director’s cut. Otherwise, it’s kind of a slow week, but Boom! decided to release the sequel to 2 Guns, which has been filmed and is open for wide release. Marvel hits us with a reprint collection, and the alternate version of their mega event of last year, Avengers vs. X-Men. This seems like a good week to maybe play catch up on some old titles or, hey, maybe even try the new Deadpool game!

Are you excited for the feature film release of 2 Guns featuring Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg? I am, too! Most people are probably unaware that this is actually a comic book movie based on a Boom! Studios release from 2007. Well, Boom! is timing things just right by releasing the sequel to the original story the week of the movie release. The main characters are still in loads of trouble and dealing arms. This time, the Russians and another anti-government group is involved. And there's a third gun! If you think two government agents busting each other for gun running is a great concept, you may want to jump on this bandwagon right now!

After a surprise panel visit from Zack Snyder, crowds learned that he will be directing the follow-up to the hugely successful Man of Steel and Henry Cavill will be returning as the lead.
According to the press release, "The announcement was made today by Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, and Sue Kroll, President, Worldwide Marketing and International Distribution, Warner Bros. Pictures."
Stars Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, and Diane Lane will also be reprising the roles they played in Man of Steel. No word on who will play Batman.
Zack Snyder stated, "I'm so excited to begin working again with Henry Cavill in the world we created, and I can't wait to expand the DC Universe in this next chapter. Let's face it, it's beyond mythological to have Superman and our new Batman facing off, since they are the greatest Super Heroes in the world."
In a statement from DC Entertainment president Diane Nelson, "Superman and Batman together on the big screen is a dream come true for DC fans everywhere. All of us at DC Entertainment could not be more excited for Zack’s continuing vision for the DC Universe."
Man of Steel's David Goyer along with Zack Snyder will script the film, and Christopher Nolan will executive produce with Emma Thomas, Benjamin Melniker and Michael E. Uslan.
