New 'Dracula Untold' Trailer Explores the Prince's Origins

Movies about Dracula will never die and now thanks to Legendary Pictures, we get to see the origins of Vlad Tepes in "Dracula Untold" because "Every Bloodline Has a Beginning." Yes it does. Luke Evans stars as that simple dude who just wants to protect his family and country and will drink anything in that quest. A hero turned monster who's madly in love? What a perfect date movie for the Halloween season.

This new trailer for the Gary Shore-directed horror/thriller has a delightful "Game of Thrones" feel and wait...what's this? Is that Tywin Lannister aka Charles Dance in a key role? Why yes it is! Watch closely.

"Dracula Untold" conquers your local theater on October 17 and in addition to Evans and Dance, it stars Dominic Cooper, Samantha Barks, and Sarah Gadon.

'Godzilla' Dominates the Box Office and a Sequel is in the Works

In an exclusive over at Deadline, they received confirmation this morning that Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. are already developing a "Godzilla" sequel and Gareth Edwards will return to direct. This is no shock since the iconic monster dominated at the box office this weekend with the largest opening of 2014. So far, the film has grossed $103 million internationally and $93 million domestically and the weekend isn't over yet.

Deadline mentions that "Edwards has talked about what he would do with a sequel, saying he would use the same kind of restraint that he did for this one. He learned well from watching Spielberg films as the monster was only talked about for the first part of this film." We're obviously unsure which monsters will rise up to fight Godzilla and when the film will be in theaters, but we'll keep you posted.

Were you one of the millions who contributed to the success of the film this weekend? What are your thoughts on "Godzilla" and are you excited for a sequel?

Monster vs Monster in New 'Godzilla' Trailer

As a reward for our Godzilla roars, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures has released an Asian market trailer for "Godzilla" and it was worth the laryngitis. "Whatever it is, they're guarding so carefully."

Wait...was that Rodan flying by that window? The action, destruction, pain and suffering, and overall awesomeness of the beasts, yes, beasts, is staggering. And the trailer seems to confirm that Gojira will be released to battle another monster threat! "God help us all."

Enough said, just watch and then run to theaters on May 16.

Leaked 'Godzilla' Teaser Trailer Available Again...For Now

Courtesy IMDB
The teaser trailer for next summer's "Godzilla" was first shown exclusively at San Diego Comic Con last July and since then, Legendary Pictures has been trying to keep the Internet-leaked video away from our prying eyes. Well, it's back and worth a peek before it gets taken down again.

The eerie overlay of the words of "father of the atomic bomb," J.Robert Oppenheimer, set against the massive destruction the giant fire lizard has unleashed, shows the grand scale of this Gareth Edwards-directed film.

The film stars Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Bryan Cranston, Ken Watanabe, Juliette Binoche, and David Strathairn. The screenplay is by Max Borenstein, Frank Darabont, and Dave Callaham. A Warner Bros. presentation, "Godzilla" is scheduled to be released in theaters, May 16, 2014.

Thanks to our friends at Dread Central for the trailer:

'Trick 'R Treat' Screening and Panel To Feature Key Cast Members

"Sam"
Legendary Pictures just announced that an October 28 screening of the 2007 cult hit, “Trick ‘R Treat,” will include all key cast members in attendance. The special night will be at Hollywood’s Egyptian Theater and actors Dylan Baker and Brian Cox will join director Michael Dougherty as headliners. Seth Green will moderate the panel after the screening.

This one night only event will close Beyond Fest and will even feature Quinn Lord, who played “Sam” in the film. We know the majority of you won’t be able to attend this screening but the good news is, the panel will be live-streamed nationally on Legendary’s Facebook page.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the story of “Trick ‘R Treat,” here is what the press release had to say:

Although never released in theaters, "Trick ‘r Treat" became a cult classic through its release on DVD, digital platforms, and extensive play in festivals. Additionally, the film received rave reviews for its originality and ambition. The passage of time has not diminished the fan fervor for this horror classic, which continues to achieve a life of its own with each new technology, but has never been seen in theaters – until now.

Dougherty’s story takes place in a small Ohio town on All Hallows Eve where four interwoven tales - including a high-school principal who moonlights as a vicious serial killer, a college-age virgin who's saving herself for that special someone, a woman whose hatred of Halloween is only exceeded by her husband's love of the mischievous holiday, and a callous group of teens who carry out an unforgivably cruel prank – delivers the kind of chills that can only occur on the darkest day of the year.

For more detailed information, you can check out Aaron Sagers’ piece that discusses not only the theatrical screening, but also features an insightful interview with Dougherty.
