'Ghostbusters III' Script to be Modified After the Death of Harold Ramis

After losing Hollywood legend, Harold Ramis, many people assumed that the long rumored third installment of the "Ghostbusters" franchise would be sent into the containment chamber and forgotten. According to the Hollywood Reporter, however, Sony has revealed that the film will continue.

The script, which was penned by "The Office" writers Gene Stupnitsky and Lee Eisenberg, will be undergoing minor rewrites, as Ramis was set to make a cameo appearance as Dr. Egon Spengler. Though the current plot hasn't been revealed, it has been eluded to that the original team of Venkman, Spengler and Stantz would be passing their Proton Packs onto a group of ghost-busting newbs.

Prior to Ramis' passing, the script wasn't far enough along to start filming in 2014. Ivan Reitman, who will be directing the sequel, is said to be meeting with Sony production executives in the near future to discuss how to proceed on the film, which is said to be in active production. Ramis passed away after a battling complications from a rare autoimmune disease on February 24, 2014.

Behind the Scenes Look at "Sharknado 2: The Second One"

Earlier, the Daily Mail shared some behind the scenes photos from the set of "Sharknado 2: The Second One," and while April and Fin may have escaped unscathed from the first "Sharknado," it doesn't look like they're so lucky this time around.

The photos show our hero, Fin (Ian Ziering) toting his now eponymous chainsaw, while April (Tara Reid) is sporting an arm sling and some bandages that appear to be concealing an amputated hand! Currently there is no further information on the potentially disfiguring plot point, it looks as though filming of the Syfy original sequel is proceeding swimmingly.

Reid revealed that she was one of many people that were shocked by the films popularity, stating "I'm just as surprised as everyone else. Come on, I did it as a joke! I didn't even think anyone was going to see it. And then what happened has never happened before on any movie. Even now, you thought the buzz was going to stop about 'Sharknado,' but it just keeps going."

She also hints that the upcoming sequel may be even more campy than the first, saying "And the one we’re shooting now in the city, you think, 'How can it be worse than the first one?' That’s the only way it can maybe work. We’ll see what happens."

After the literal overnight success of the Syfy flick caused a social media feeding frenzy, the executive decision to create a sequel (a first for Syfy original movies) was set in motion. 'Sharknado 2: The Second One' Adds Cast Members

Just when you thought it was safe... "Sharknado 2: The Second One" unleashes casting news on the masses! Deadline is reporting that the Syfy original pop-cult classic will be going into production next week, and the growing victim, er, cast list, is pretty phenomenal. Ian Ziering and Tara Reid return as Fin and April (this time as Sharknado experts) which comes in handy as they are faced with the unnatural disaster in New York City.

Joining these two majestic creatures is a bevy of equally fantastic actors, including Vivica A. Fox (Fin's high school chum), Mark McGrath (Fin's brother-in-law), Kelly Osbourne (a flight attendant), Judah Friedlander (Brian), Andy Dick (a police officer) and Judd Hirsch (a TAXI driver).

'Star Wars: Episode VII' Gets a Script

In a sit down with The Wrap, director J.J.Abrams reveals that a script for "Star Wars: Episode VII" has been completed. "We're working really hard and we've got our script and we're in deep prep,[...]full steam ahead, y'know."

While speaking at a press event for his new NBC show, "Believe", he also confirmed the rumor that they have been talking to actor Jesse Plemons about a role in the upcoming Star Wars sequel. On a bean-spilling spree, Abrams also confirmed that the new movie will be shot on regular film, as opposed to digital or IMAX film. He stated that IMAX cameras are "very loud ... very unreliable," are restrictive due to their reel lengths, and despite previously applauding the IMAX format, it is difficult to shoot intimate scenes with the cumbersome cameras.

The newest "Star Wars" installment will take place after the events of "Return of the Jedi," last in the original series, and is set for a December 18, 2015 release.

Teaser Trailer Released for 'Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead'

Tommy Wirkola's "Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead" is set to debut at the Sundance Film Festival in January and a teaser trailer has just been released. The sequel, helmed again by Wirkola, takes place where the original film left off; with a bloody face-off between a medical student and zombie Nazis in the Norwegian fjords.

'Woman in Black' Receiving Multiple Sequels

While "The Woman in Black," sequel isn't set for release until 2015, that isn't stopping Hammer CEO, Simon Oakes from planning further additions to the franchise.

In an interview with Total Films, Oakes revealed that he is already thinking about the third and fourth installments, stating that- "If your second’s successful, then your third, then you’ve got a franchise… I just don’t believe in the notion that you can press a button and create a franchise, but, I mean, I’m definitely planning 3 and 4…"

The upcoming sequel, "The Woman in Black: Angel of Death," is based on an original story by Susan Hill, written by Jon Croker and directed by Tom Harper. Currently there is no US release date, but the movie is set to be released in the UK on February 13, 2015.

“The Woman in Black" was set in the early 1900′s and detailed the story of a young lawyer who is ordered to travel to a remote corner of the U.K. to sort out the papers of a recently deceased client. In the eerie setting of Eel Marsh House he discovers the vengeful ghost of the title. Seized by the government and converted into a military mental hospital during World War II, the sudden arrival of disturbed soldiers to Eel Marsh Harsh has awoken its darkest inhabitant. Eve, a beautiful young nurse, is sent to the house to care for the patients but soon realizes she must save them from more than their own demons. Despite Eve’s efforts to stop her, one by one they fall victim to the Woman in Black.
