Syfy Orders Third 'Sharknado' Film

The second one is getting a sibling...
Before the Sharknado even hits NYC this July 30, Syfy has confidently ordered a third nado full of sharks! They have their sights set on the summer of 2015 because by then, we'll be accustomed to our summers being invaded by weather disturbances filled with hungry fish. After becoming a social media sensation last summer, it's no wonder Syfy ordered a third in anticipation of lightning striking twice this summer.

The network exclusively revealed to Adweek that a third movie was green-lit and Adweek proceeded to write five pitches on what they think the film should en-tail. So no script or casting news is available but we'll definitely keep you posted. Sharknado 2: The Second One will star Tara Reid, Ian Ziering, Vivica A. Fox, Andy Dick and Mark McGrath and airs Wednesday, July 30 at 9 p.m. ET.

Below are two samples of what Adweek is proposing, including casting suggestions:

3harknado
Starring Nathan Fillion, Portia de Rossi, Alison Brie and Joel Hodgson, the third Sharknado tears apart San Diego during the reunion of cult classic TV series SpaceShark 2025. During a panel Q&A with fans, the down-on-their-luck cast is rent asunder by the very monsters their fictional characters used to battle. Will they learn who engineered this catastrophe? And when they do, will the answer shock them?

Sharknado 3: Sharksplode!
Executive produced by Michael Bay with 35 percent new footage, the world really has a mess on its hands when a waterspout hits a once-in-a-lifetime ... uh, thrice-in-a-lifetime ... school of sharks—and then a mid-Atlantic oil rig! Now filled with flammable light sweet crude, the angry and frightened fish burst into waterproof flames on impact with the ground. Our only hope may be the brave men and women of the Navy's elite SHaRK unit, who must place themselves in harm's way between hundreds of sharksplosions... and Big Ben.

Now what are your thoughts on a third film and where do you think this nado should hit?

UFO Does a Fly By Over an Argentinian Soccer Match?

Courtesy YouTube
What the heck is going on in South America during soccer games? Last week we reported on a mysterious "ghost" running through a stadium and now we have a video of a unidentified flying object soaring over a game in Argentina.

The report is thanks to Inexplicata: The Journal of Hispanic Ufology via Unexplained Mysteries and they write that the occurrence was over the San Lorenzo Stadium "during the last game against Botafogo for the Libertadores de America Cup, ending in a 3-0 victory by San Lorenzo." Good to at least know who won. The crowd was simply cheering for the game but the chanting was a bit reminiscent of Close Encounters of the Third Kind so you never know!

The anomaly moves left to right in an odd and rapid fashion and the video slows it down and enhances the image so you can take a better look and judge for yourselves. Is it a UFO? Well yes because it's not identified as anything specifically from our world, yet, but we'd love your opinion on what it might be. A hoax? A new type of experimental aircraft? A soccer superfan from Mars? Mothra? Let us know if we should start making tinfoil hats or if it's simply something of this world.

Monster vs Monster in New 'Godzilla' Trailer

As a reward for our Godzilla roars, Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures has released an Asian market trailer for "Godzilla" and it was worth the laryngitis. "Whatever it is, they're guarding so carefully."

Wait...was that Rodan flying by that window? The action, destruction, pain and suffering, and overall awesomeness of the beasts, yes, beasts, is staggering. And the trailer seems to confirm that Gojira will be released to battle another monster threat! "God help us all."

Enough said, just watch and then run to theaters on May 16.

Coldplay Hides 'Ghost Stories' Lyrics in ...Ghost Stories Worldwide

Oh you clever boy, Chris Martin, father of Apple and Moses. So Coldplay has a new album coming out on May 19 titled "Ghost Stories," and to drum up buzz about it, the band has hidden lead singer Martin's handwritten lyric sheets in libraries worldwide for fans to find.

Beginning today, the band's Twitter account will post clues as to the exact locations of the lyric sheets in nine different countries. Using the hashtag #lyricshunt, fans are encouraged to check out ghost story books in libraries and help solve the clues to find an envelope containing the lyric sheets. As the lyrics are discovered, a photo will be posted online for all to see. Also, one of the envelopes will contain a "Golden Ticket" and a free trip to London's Albert Hall for a July 1 concert (so that probably rules out London as the location of the Golden Ticket, unless Coldplay is feeling really cheap).

As if you didn't already have a good reason to visit the library and start paging through cool ghost stories, the biggest (or second biggest, if you ask U2) rock band in the world just gave you an incentive to dust off the old library card.

HBO's New Drama 'The Leftovers' Gets Its First Trailer

Courtesy HBO
What would happen if suddenly and randomly 2% of the population just disappeared? If you were tuning in to "Game of Thrones" on Sunday, you may have seen the trailer for the new HBO series, "The Leftovers." The drama's events take place three years after what appears to be "The Rapture" and "It's time again for the world to mourn the departed." The trailer was intense, scary, and even a little sexy. It's also NSFW thanks to language, violence and nudity.

From "Lost" co-creator and writer, Damon Lindelof and based on the Tom Perrotta novel of the same name, the series stars Jennifer Aniston's fiancé, Justin Theroux as the town's chief of police who must deal with the aftermath of the "apocalypse" and the implications it brings. Also featured are; Amy Brenneman, Carrie Coon, Christopher Eccleston ("Doctor Who"), Chris Zylka, Ann Dowd, Liv Tyler, Michael Gaston, Charlie Carver, Max Carver, Emily Meade, Amanda Warren and Margaret Qually. "The Leftovers" premieres on Sunday, June 29 at 10 p.m. ET.

Check out the first Season One trailer (away from any kiddos) and let us know if you'll be tuning in to see what happens in this post-apocalyptic world.

Zack Snyder to Direct 'Justice League' Film

Courtesy The Wall Street Journal
Thanks to a Wall Street Journal exclusive interview with Warner Bros. president of worldwide production Greg Silverman, the news that the studio has set plans to make a “Justice League” movie has been revealed. Silverman stated that not only will a "Justice League" film follow 2016's "Superman vs. Batman" but Zack Snyder will be directing the film. And yes, Silverman was quoted as calling the "Man of Steel" sequel "Superman vs. Batman." He stated, “It will be a further expansion of this universe. ’Superman vs Batman’ will lead into ‘Justice League.’” So does this mean we have the official title for the MOS sequel? Seems too easy.

The "Justice League" script is currently in development and it is expected that Henry Cavill will return as Superman, Ben Affleck will reprise his role Batman and Gal Gadot will play Wonder Woman. There is no release date but the film will most likely not be in theaters before 2018. Based on Marvel's track record, they should really step it up. There is no definite word on what other Justice Leaguers will join their three friends, but Green Lantern, Aquaman and Flash obviously can't be ruled out.  The "Superman vs. Batman" film recently added Ray Fisher as "Cyborg" so he may appear as well.

Regarding a Wonder Woman spin-off, the WSJ mentioned that "Warner executives said they are warm to the idea" and president of worldwide marketing, Sue Kroll, reveals, “That is our hope. With the right script, that could be viable. The world is ready for her.”

So what do you think about the "Justice League" film news? Is DC going to give Marvel a run for their money or has Marvel cornered the market on superhero success? Let's try to forget the "Green Lantern" film and hold on to hope!

'Game of Thrones' Recap: 'Oathkeeper'

Courtesy HBO
BY LARISSA MRYKALO

Will this week's "Game of Thrones" spark as much media controversy as last week's? Possibly? In an episode that began with fire and ended with ice, we were treated to some family secrets, crucifixion, more horrendous rape, and an infant sacrifice. What say you, Mr. Martin? Grab your sword, we have some lessons to attend...

No Mercy
Missandei is giving Grey Worm a reading lesson...or is it their first date? Hard to tell but they reflect on their childhoods and neither sound very pleasant. Grey Worm comes from the Summer Isles and does not want to return. Missandei was captured at age five and she remembers her village burning. At least they didn't have to endure watching "Barney."

Dany interrupts the lesson to let Grey Worm know that "it's time." Led by Grey Worm, Dany's soldiers slosh through the sea up to Meereen's gate and stealthily enter. They make their way to the slaves who do not believe a revolt on their masters in a good plan plus, can we trust this blonde gal? Grey Worm reassures these poor folks, who were not trained as soldiers like the unsullied were, that Dany is legit. The soldiers provide the slaves with swords to attack their masters. The masters are swarmed and attacked and Dany is yet again deemed, Mhysa.

'Ghost Adventures: Aftershocks' Recap: 'Bobby Mackey’s, Brookdale Lodge'

Courtesy flickr
BY ASHLEY ADRIANCE

In the last several years the "Ghost Adventures" crew has investigated many locations. Are the dark spirits still haunting these locations and the people in the them?

Bobby Mackey’s Music World

Bobby Mackey’s Music World, named after owner Robert Randall Mackey, is one location that the GAC refuses to revisit. It was thought to be a portal to hell opened up by a ritual decapitation performed on site, and it’s known for it’s dark activity. The attachments for the crew have become very personal. A former caretaker, Carl Lawson, passed in 2012, and suffered more than most. Bobby Mackey spoke about Carl (regarding his possession and subsequent exorcism) saying he “was his worst enemy." The GAC interviewed Carl on their first visit to Bobby Mackey’s, several years after his exorcism but it was clear his soul was still haunted. When asked about the video footage of Carl’s exorcism, Bobby Mackey stressed that he had seen the footage before but “Carl was not an actor.”

Details Revealed on the 'Goosebumps' Movie

Readers beware, you're in for a scare! Fans of the YA horror anthology are getting an early Halloween treat, as details of the upcoming "Goosebumps" movie have been revealed. The plot has been outlined in a press release, and it sounds absolutely (and delightfully) crazy!

In Goosebumps, upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach's comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it's suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.

The meta-plotted movie will be directed by Rob Letterman, with a screenplay by Darren Lemke and Mike White, and a story by "1408" scribes Lemke, Larry Karaszewski and Scott Alexander. Filming began earlier this week in Georgia (Conyers, Madison and Atlanta) with a release scheduled for March 23, 2016.

Marilyn Manson Tune Added to the Opening Credits of 'Salem'

Courtesy Manson's Official Site
We recently reported that rocker Marilyn Manson would be a part of WGN America's supernatural drama, "Salem" and now we know how he'll contribute. Thanks to Entertainment Weekly, we've learned that Manson's song, “Cupid Carries a Gun” will be heard, starting this Sunday, as part of the new opening titles.

Regarding the addition of his song, Manson was quoted as saying, “The occult and witchcraft is so often used in cinema with a heinous disregard for even researching its origins. However, I liked the themes of 'Salem.' It looks at the witch trials without being cliche like most modern films.”

EW mentions that "Cupid Carries a Gun" was not only the final track finished for Manson’s new album, but it was co-written by "Salem" composer Tyler Bates. It sounds like a great song to open the brand new show. It's only one episode in and we'd love to hear your thoughts on "Salem."

Check out the opening featuring Manson's tune...it's actually pretty awesome:

Harris (Diversion3 Entertainment), Mark Canton (Atmosphere Entertainment MM), and Randall Emmett & George Furla (EFO Films). Producer of the feature films and Horror Inc. president, Robert Barsamian, is slated to produce the new series. Roy Knyrim of SOTA FX will be providing special FX makeup for the series.

Stadium 'Ghost' Runs Through Soccer Fans

Courtesy Fox Sports/YouTube
Un Fantasma! Was the dark figure darting through the stands and looking like it was passing directly through the spectators at this soccer game, a ghost? According to Nine MSN, "The human silhouette was captured moving through the bleachers during a Fox Sports live transmission of Bolivia's The Strongest versus Defensor Sporting, of Uruguay, in La Paz's Hernando Siles Stadium on Thursday."

Apparently this is not the first time spectral activity has occurred in this city's oldest stadium and another figure was purportedly seen near its northern end. The article mentioned that skeptics are labeling this as a "reflection or double exposure of one of the players on the field." All we know is that it looks strange and that the addition of "The X-Files" theme in the background makes it extra fantasmatastic (not a word, but it should be?).

Check out the video below and let us know what you think is running around in this stadium...

Peter Jackson Reveals New Title of Third 'Hobbit' Film: 'The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies'

Peter Jackson did what so many artists do these days to make big announcements about their work...he took to his Facebook page. This particular announcement revealed that the third "Hobbit" movie's title has been changed from "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" to "The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies." It's a much more appropriate title because according to Jackson, Bilbo already arrived "there" in "Smaug" plus, the new title sums up the fact that there are five armies that will engage in a battle. Pretty straightforward, don't you think?

Here is Jackson's complete post (continues after the jump):

Inside Information...

Our journey to make The Hobbit Trilogy has been in some ways like Bilbo's own, with hidden paths revealing their secrets to us as we've gone along. “There and Back Again” felt like the right name for the second of a two film telling of the quest to reclaim Erebor, when Bilbo’s arrival there, and departure, were both contained within the second film. But with three movies, it suddenly felt misplaced—after all, Bilbo has already arrived “there” in the "Desolation of Smaug".

'Paranormal State' Returns- In Video Game Form

The "Paranormal State" team is back, and this time they want to play a game with you. Available today is "Paranormal State: Poison Spring," an iPad game that allows players to join Ryan Buell (and Heather Taddy, Sergey Poberezhny) and the Paranormal Research Society for a ghost investigation.

The game, which was released in PC format last October, is a hidden object game with voice-acted cutscenes surrounding an investigation of "a terrifying supernatural event at Poison Spring State Park, historical site to a grisly Civil War battle." And yes, that was a real battle, fought in Arkansas, and was a notable battle involving the the First Kansas Colored Infantry.

Debuting on A&E in 2007, "Paranormal State" was an early competitor to "Ghost Hunters" in the paranormal investigation docuseries genre. However, it has been off the year for three years. So while this game is oddly timed, it may be fans' best bet for new PRS adventures for now.

Created by A&E, publisher Legacy Interactive -- which is behind TV-inspired games "Twilight Zone," "Ghost Whisperer," "Psych," and "House M.D." -- and Polish game developer Teyon, "Poison Spring" was initially offered as a PC game on LegacyGames for $13.95, then $9.95. On the iPad, the download is free but the "Collector's Edition" unlock (which you'll probably need to play the entire game) is $6.95.

Based on the trailer below, the game isn't the sleekest of designs (and I'm sorry but who approved the digitized version of Ryan Buell, a handsome young guy, which looks like Michael Madsen?) but I cannot comment on the gameplay. Although, it's not a great sign that the support for the game seems pretty nonexistent and the website went dormant for about six months and still haven't added a press release. So this doesn't seem like a game that A&E or Legacy expects to do bang-up numbers, or even show much love for.

But if you've downloaded it and you do love it, let us know and we'll spread the word.

'Flash Gordon' Reboot a Possibility Thanks to Fox

Courtesy THR
FLASH! Ahh ahh! Is coming back to the big screen? (You better have read that to Queen's song.)

According to an exclusive from The Hollywood Reporter, it looks like the savior of the universe will be approaching a theater near you thanks to a deal that's been in the works for quite some time. This is what they're reporting about a "Flash Gordon" reboot, "Twentieth Century Fox has closed a deal to pick up the screen rights to the pulp comic-strip hero in a package that has John Davis producing and J.D. Payne and Patrick McKay, the up-and-coming scribes who just worked on "Star Trek 3," on board to write the script."

The project will be lead by Fox exec Matt Reilly who, according to THR, "identified the project early and brought it into the studio." There is no word on what the reboot will look like or if it'll be as gloriously cheesy as the 1980 film that starred Sam Jones.

Which celebs would you cast in the roles of Flash, Dale Arden, Hans Zasrkov and Ming the Merciless? We'll keep you posted on any more details on this project but in the meantime, here's a little treat to get you pumped...

HBO GO Makes Things Awkward With 'Game Of Thrones,' 'Family Viewing' Campaign

HBO appreciates that some of its programming may be great genre fare, but not great genre fare to watch with the parentals. From the steamy sex scenes in "True Blood" to the incest in "Game of Thrones," a new marketing campaign for HBO GO, the streaming service for HBO subscribers, targets Millennials who may want to watch those shows on their own.

Titled "Awkward Family Viewing,"the videos from SS+K will run on BuzzFeed and HBO’s YouTube and Twitter sites. According to a press release, HBO's college Campus Agents will also "share the campaign videos across social networks and create content featuring their own awkward HBO viewing moments with family and friends through Instagram, Vine, etc. using #HBOGOplease."

“There are plenty of great moments in our shows that you don’t necessarily want to watch with mom and dad,” said Chris Spadaccini, Senior Vice President of Brand Marketing at HBO. “One of the many benefits of HBO GO is that it allows subscribers to watch their favorite HBO shows in private, without fear of parental interruption.”

Butch Patrick Working to Save Haunted House

Courtesy FEARNET
Butch Patrick, better known as Eddie Munster, is working to save a home from being destroyed. While most will immediately think of his manor on Mockingbird Lane, the home in question actually belonged to his grandmother.

The Victorian home in Macon, Missouri was purchased by Patrick's grandmother when he was a child. There, he spent time visiting with family and continued to visit even after his grandmother passed away. In an interview with FOX411, the former child star reveals "Every 20 years or so I would drive by the house to visit and last time I went by, I found it was in foreclosure and it was close to being wrecked[...] So what I'm doing right now is, I'm working with the banks to try to save it and lo and behold, it turns out it's haunted."

He states that his sister and grandmother experienced paranormal activity within the home, but he did not, as he didn't spend much time inside because was too busy playing outside. He states that he has had professionals come into the home to investigate and that they claim there are around 13 entities residing there.

After starring on "The Munsters," which celebrates its 50th anniversary this year, Patrick spent time traveling with Bonnie Vent, a "paranormal consultant," to some of the nations most haunted locations. "I have felt some interesting things going on, although I've never actually physically seen something[...]I've felt something pass through me before, which is really scary," Patrick told FOX411.

The actor is currently working on a "coffin-table-book" that will feature fan stories of "The Munsters." To hear more from Patrick, check out the full interview, and best of luck in saving that haunted house!

A new clip for the final season of "True Blood" debuted right before Sunday's new episode of "Game of Thrones" and Sookie's hair looks damn good for the upheaval that seems to be occurring. Vampires (Zompires?) have attacked...in a church and it seems that the war against humans is causing them to turn into "animals" in order to survive. The final season has been promised to be bloody and deadly which is exactly what we should expect from a vampire series.

Check out the teaser below and let us know who you think will remain standing at the end because as Sookie says, "There's no one left." The new season begin on Sunday, June 22 at 9 p.m. ET on HBO.

'Game of Thrones' Recap: 'Breaker of Chains'

Will Dany break some more chains?
BY LARISSA MRYKALO

This week's "Game of Thrones" begins with an overlapping of last week's glorious Purple Wedding episode and then takes off running. Not only do we get to flinch and clench over the antics in King's Landing, but we get to catch up on how The Hound and Arya are doing, as well as the doom and gloom in Castle Black and a literal pissing match in Meereen. Hold on tightly to your cup of Dornish wine, it's going to be a bumpy ride.

An Awkward Repass in King's Landing
It seems like Joffrey's death unleashed a cloud of horny over King's Landing. Maybe it was in that fog where the creepy ship filled with Littlefinger's (call me Petyr) lust for Sansa was residing? Ser Dontos did his duty to Littlefinger and brought Sansa safely to him on the Love Boat but instead of getting paid, he gets murdered. Wait ... did Littlefinger know Joffrey was going to be murdered and Sansa would need refuge? Dontos sure whisked her away quickly as Joff was left spewing snot. Plus, Littlefinger even manufactured that necklace Dontos gave her as a gift for saving his life. Oh that's right, "we're all liars here." The fog and the plot thickens.

'Big Ass Spider' Crawls to Syfy This Saturday

Arachnophobes need not read any further. Last year's creepy crawly horror/comedy, "Big Ass Spider" will air on Syfy this Saturday, April 19 at 9 p.m. ET. Directed by Mike Mendez and starring Lin Shaye, Ray Wise, and Greg Grunberg, the title basically sums up what we can expect and of course, Los Angeles takes the hit. Hey, New York, you're safe until the second Sharknado hits in July so you can relax.

The synopsis reads, "A giant alien spider escapes from a military lab and rampage the city of Los Angeles. When a massive military strike fails, it is up to a team of scientists and one clever exterminator to kill the creature before the city is destroyed."

If those two sentences don't capture you in their web then the trailer below should entice you to plant yourself on your comfy couch this Saturday night.

'Scouts vs. Zombies' Casting News

Courtesy Zimbio
On my honor, I will do my best to do my duty...to fight off zombies...

That's how the motto goes, right? Well Paramount's "Scouts vs. Zombies" starts filming on May 8 and their cast is still growing. In this Christopher Landon-directed horror/comedy, "On the eve of their last camp out, three scouts discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak." Sounds fun!

Joining the cast which already features, Joseph Morgan, The Sheridan, Logan Miller, Andy Fickman, Todd Garner, Bryan Brucks and Betsy Sullenger will be Anchorman's David Koechner. Deadline is reporting that Koechner will play Scout Leader Rogers.

In a recent interview with DailyDead, Koechner revealed:

“I’m really looking forward to working on Scouts too. What’s funny is when I initially heard about the project, I was a tad dismissive of it because title just sounds obvious. But when I read the script, I was completely shocked by how oddly emotionally-grounded it was. It’s really a movie about friendship, about these three boys, and they’re at that point where they’re starting to grow apart and the only thing that’s kept them friends is scouting. The movie takes place on their last campout and so I fell in love with it because of the emotional core that the story has and all those themes- like friendship and loyalty- that I think we can all relate to. And there are zombies, of course (laughs).”

It sounds a little like "The Goonies" meets "Stand By Me" meets "The Walking Dead." We'll keep you posted on when it's scheduled to invade theaters. In the mean time, practice your knot tying and crossbow skills.

The Haunted Island of Poveglia is For Sale

Courtesy Gizmodo
Who wants to go in on buying a haunted island? Anyone? Well, the Venetian gem that is Poveglia is up for sale through the Italian government as a way to reduce the country’s public debt. You can enjoy this 17-acre island that's inhabited by no one living but purported to be haunted by the thousands of tortured ghosts of plague victims who were taken there to die and be disposed of.

The most recent guests included mental patients and the sadistic doctor who used the them to perform several awful "procedures." This was in 1922 until 1968. He was said to have committed suicide by throwing himself from the building's tower thanks to being driven insane by the thousands of ghosts who haunt the island. Since then, the island has been highly restricted and only a select few, including the Travel Channel's "Ghost Adventures" crew, have been allowed onto the island.

According to Telegraph UK, "A spokeswoman for Italy’s state sales agency declined to put a possible price on Poveglia but noted that barracks buildings had previously been sold for up to €3.8 million. Another 148 properties are due to be auctioned off this year, with the state hoping to raise €500 million."

We think it would make a lovely hotel and resort destination, don't you?

First Poster Released for 'Leprechaun: Origins'

The WWE has released the first official poster for their new film "Leprechaun: Origins." Starring Stephanie Bennett, Adam Boys, Bruce Blain, Teach Grant, Brendan Fletcher and WWE Superstar Dylan "Hornswoggle" Postl as the murderous title character.

While the exact plot of Harrison Wilkinson's script is being guarded like a pot of gold, WWE President Michael Luisi revealed in an interview, "The tone [of Origins] is going to be a little darker, a little more traditional horror than the Warwick Davis ones that people remember, trying to find a way to please fans of that genre; but at the same time this is really being played for scares."

For fans of the campy Warwick Davis flicks, what do you think of this darker reboot? Personally, I am equal parts excited and wary. The original, despite it's cheese factor, scared the bejeezus out of me and had me on a constant look out for four leaf clovers, just in case.

At the moment, there is no set release date, but a summer release is expected. Here's a quick sneak peek from the WWE that was released on St. Patrick's Day!

Benedict Cumberbatch Puts 'Star Wars' and 'Doctor Who' Rumors to Rest

Sorry, Cumberpeople, but it appears that everyone's favorite otter-faced actor will not be joining any new franchises in the foreseeable future. During a panel at this year's Oz Comic Con, Benedict Cumberbatch sat down to set the record straight.

For quite some time now the Internet has been swirling with rumors that the "Sherlock" star would be joining the upcoming season of "Doctor Who" as the Master, while other fans speculated that he would someday be the next madman with a box. Considering Steven Moffat serves as showrunner to both popular BBC shows, it would make a bit of sense if a cross-over occurred. Unfortunately for those Wholocked fans out there, BennyBatch told audiences that "I'm never gonna play the Doctor-and nothing to do with the Whoniverse."

As for re-teaming with "Star Trek" director J.J. Abrams for the upcoming "Star Wars" film? According to Australian entertainment site, The Iris, it's not happening- “I would've liked a part in JJ's new Star Wars but it won't happen, sadly."

'Face Off' Recap: 'Cry Wolf'

Courtesy Syfy
BY ASHLEY ADRIANCE

This week's "Face Off" challenge is a continuation of last week’s surprise two-part challenge where the four remaining artists must create the vampire’s greatest enemy, the werewolf. The artists meet up with McKenzie Westmore and Patrick Tatopoulos and learn that they must create a werewolf that comes from the same world as their vampire creations plus, they must incorporate a particular feature to take down the vampire. Patrick will be looking for common designs between their vampire and the werewolf this week, so the artists need to make sure their designs fit together.

To recap last week’s challenge:

Tyler - Sasabonsam from Ghana
George - Yara Ma Yha Who from Australia
Rashaad - Jiang Shi from China
Niko - Aswang from Philippines

In the lab, Michael Westmore arrives to give his advice to the remaining artists and advises Tyler that his facial sculpt doesn’t read werewolf. He says that what makes a werewolf is it’s snout and Tyler’s creation reads vampire. Surprisingly, Michael Westmore returns after leaving for the day to tell Tyler to stop worrying too much. He received a harsh critique last week but he can’t let that scare him. They remind him that he’s a great artist and Tyler seems to be back on track and moving forward.
